Saturday night I was deciding where to go watch some racing, and after careful thought I stayed in Stockton to watch our local micros.. great show never lets me down..while sitting in our regular seat on the top of the stands I look next to my wife and ill be dam it howard kaeding.. to make along story short.. I sat there and got to talk to a legend all night about different things. racing the old days at different tracks,, had the best time.. he was there with some good friends who run a micro.. the best part was watching howard in the pits helping with micro holding the light and just being part of that atmosphere.. couldn't have had a better night anywhere else will always remember the stories thanks again howard

It is absolutely awesome when that happens. We had a similar run in 14 or 15 years ago at Grundy County Speedway at a Midget show when we noticed that the fellow right behind us was Danny Kladis. It is interesting who you can just happen to bump into at the local race track. Cool story BIGROB, that must have made for a real interesting night.

Howard is, has been, and will undoubtedly always be one of my all time favorites. Any chance to spend time with him is worth its weight in gold to me. Amazing man with an unlimited amount of class and a memory that just absolutely dumbfounds me every time. Long live HK!

Sitting in turn one at Fargo about 10-12 years ago. Doug Wolfgang sat down next to me during the feature.

About 10 years ago at the Pomona drag races I had a gentleman sit down next to me who I recognized immediately but nobody else around paid any mind to who he was, none other than Ed Iskenderian of ISKY race cams. The originator, the legend just swapping stories back and forth while we watched funny car qualifying at night. Talk about some stories, holy shit he's been around the block a few times.
Cheers!

Thats why I like going in the pits at Ocean Speedway. One week I could talk to Tim Green about his racing days, the next week Chuck Miller and Ronnie Day about their's. You can catch a lot of the guys you grew up watching there.

Yeah, too bad he's such an insufferable prick behind the wheel.
