ASCOT CLAY HITS OSS!

Last week, Paul Colston Transportation delivered the first several loads of "Ascot" clay to Orange Show Stadium! The clay was obtained from the same source that made the famous oval track surface...the cemetery across the street from the former legendary Asoct Park in Gardena, CA. Kevin Walker and the JMI (James McMinn Inc.) Equipment Rentals & Grading team are working the surface in preparation for this Saturday's URA Open Wheel Spectacular, featuring URA Sprints, Midgets, and California Lightning Sprints...Come check it out!!

Rob it's to expensive to truck in the amounts we need for Victorville.. We are bringing in a few truck loads a week at OSS and working it in.. But we need lots of clay for RT66.. We will be getting clay from a source on the hill. See you Saturday AJ Burns Driving a midget for Wally Pankratz

Is it safe to assume this clay is from an unoccupied section of the cemetery?

There was over 100 cubic yards of deep clay in one mound and another mound of top soil.

Lol Jeff!

For those who are curious, the clay stockpiles at the cemetery are from the excavation spoils...or in other words the dirt that was removed from the ground for the caskets. What doesn't go back into the hole (amount of clay displaced by the volume of the casket or by soil) has to be stockpiled and eventually disposed of.

Or in other words, we are doing them a favor by carting it away.

Yes, clay is a material that is undesirable For backfill purposes. Usually construction sites will give it away for free so that they don't have to dispose of it themselves. The expense is trucking it from the site to your destination.

You are making me wish that I had a dump truck (and a class A license) so that I could do two good deeds at one time. Rid them of the clay and supply you guys with the clay. Oh well you can wish in one hand and poop in the other, you know which hand fills up first.
