Still don't get Solwold over Shane Stewart, but I guess we will see how it works out, maybe they'll give it to him at the end of July. lol

Has it ever occurred to any of you calling for Stewart in the car that maybe he doesn't want the ride or doesn't want the ride on what their terms are?

Oh, he wanted the ride...came right from his mouth. He Tweeted several statements regarding his intefest in the ride. There are other things going on that isn't making it possible for Shane to be in the #82 car. Let's give Jason a chance and see what happens.

I still don't get solwold over wolfe. Lapped like he was standing still tonight. Stewart should stay as far away from this circus of a race team as possible. I respect ANYONE who will put up their hard earned money to fund a race team but wow....

Someone over at the WoO site tonight said the Solwold deal was for three nights.

Just Friday- Sat- Sunday of this weekend for Solwold in the 82? That's very hard to believe.

In his first two nights he has finished 14th and 19th so I don't find it hard to believe.

first two nights with a new ride, and both against the outlaws, I guess i would say he did just fine and will do fine once the 82 team start to understand how he likes the car set. Give him chace, don't dis him just because they didn't hire the driver you thought they should have.

chucknutts: I have no idea of who you are, or where you are from . . . however, thanks for such a thoughtful/intelligent reply to the short-sighted and mean-spirited folks and their posts. This team is doing all they can to overcome what EVERY team goes thru at one time or another. The Ownership, the Driver, and the and the Crew Chief & Crew are doing their best to be competitive, to "Do Things the Right Way", and, to provide a entertainment for race fans wherever they perform. I think they will land "right-side-up" when all of the smoke clears. Once again, thank you from a 40 year veteran race fan.

Shane Stewart has how many rides already? Maybe they wanted a driver that was dedicated to one fulltime ride so that they could run the schedule they want and not try to fit in a patchwork schedule to suit the driver.

You left out that he started 8th on night 1 and finished 10th, started 4th on night 2 and finished 10th. Truth is Jason doesn't have quite the resume of Shane, oddly enough they are 2 of my favorite drivers being a NW racing fan and watching Shane win a couple Dirt Cups. Nevertheless, Jason has won more races across the country than Lucas has lied about.

Yep, going to get pretty quiet around here, went over there having minimal racing experience at Husets and beat all the locals. Hopefully he comes home and wins the Dirt Cup which has cursed him for so long.

Good for him and maybe we will now find out if the "three night ride" was legit or simply the imiganation of some poster.

I don't know how many times but he has raced at Huset's before (more than minimal) when he was driving the R19 a few years back.

The guys from out west tend to do pretty well when they visit Huset's, much better than the guys from out east.

Just meant its been sporadic, racing at Skagit, and dominating for so many years definitely helps.
