Among the many dirt tracks of Ohio Waynesfield Raceway park is an anomaly. In a state well known for winged sprint cars Waynesfield is the only track running a weekly non-wing (traditional) sprint program. Being different is good for the track, on an average Saturday the pits are overflowing with cars. Last week 116 cars from 5 divisions packed the pits. The Best performance motorsports non-wing sprints featuring 36 of the 116, proving the overwhelming support for their non-wing sprint program. Waynesfield raceway Park is the new kid on the block in the ohio dirt track scene, their first season in 2003. Since their establishment, the track has consistently been attracting new competitors and fans every year and now boasts one of the biggest average cars counts in the state week in and out. If you are in Ohio and looking to catch some tradition sprint action look no further than Waynesfield. The wide 1/3 mile high banked track is multi-grooved and produces excellent racing. Their track staff has also mastered the art of dirt track prep always giving drivers a smooth well worked surface on which to race. This Saturday is Buffalo Wild Wings night featuring all 5 of their regular divisions the Best Performance Motorsports Non Wing Sprint Cars, Post AgriService UMP Modifieds, PPC AMSA Mini Sprints, Block Insurance Tough Trucks, and the JR and Sons Service Center Compacts Gates open at 5:00 with racing starting at 7:00 check the tracks website at waynesfieldmotorsportspark.com for more information or directions. I love Waynesfield. The non-wing cars are great there, and for those who are winged fans, they have the upcoming All Star Speedweek coning very soon, and a $7000-to win 360 wing show coming in early July.

Be nice if Limaland would pick up the non wingers on Friday nights. Talked to Fricke one time & he told me they like to cater to the locals, Well most of them fella's are local & that would give them a second night to race without much travelling, That is if they were interested.
