How long until Kahne says enough with Darrah? He hasn't done anything special with that money ride so maybe he's looking to come back home?

Lance is an all-time great driver. Had he gone on the Outlaw tour, he'd have won alot of Outlaw races. The 27 wasn't that great last year with the current Outlaw point leader in it, so it's not just Lance that's not getting it done.

Lance was Top Ten at Knoxville Nationals last 2 years in a row, by far the best of any Posse driver.
I think breaking his neck couldn't help.....
|
Thank you. Lance has been the best Posse driver the last few years when it all counts at Knoxville in August. Last year, i don't think Lance got passed all week at Nationals. He was slow in the 30c back home and then took it Knoxville and went top 10. How many wins did Daryn have last year in the 27? How well has Mark Smith done in the other 27? I still don't think it's Lance.

Im hearing that Lance Dewease is close to losing his ride. Results this year have been pretty disapointing. Who's next in the Heffner 27?
|
There probably won't be a Heffner 27.

The only way Leppo is the best free agent available is if Todd Shaffer has taken his name out of the hat permantly.
I don't know anything behind the inner workings of any of these teams, but Doug Esh might not be a bad fit in the 27. I don't know if Esh wants to be racing more than what he is in the 98 or not though. They've been pretty good when they've been out this year too. That's just a thought.

I'll bite and disagree. Obviously Leppo was dealt a tough card with the 17 car similar (in a different sense) to the card that Todd was dealt when the Beams retired. Last year Leppo got into the Zemco car and beat 40+ cars at Williams Grove in his only race in the car. Come time for the National Open Leppo ran 11th on the prelim and followed that up by chasing down and running side by side with the best sprint car driver the world and crossed the line 2nd. The rest of the year he made the 14 car a top 10 car which now GMac (a decent driver in his own right, sat the pole of the Summer Nationals in his family car last year) is in the B every night. Todd was great and he has his fair share of track championships and is one of the all-time Central PA greats, but I'll say right now, I would rather have Leppo than Todd.

Without a doubt, Shaffer didn't win a race the last 2-3 years that he did race. Shaffer was great in the 90's and early 00's but once the cars got more even and the competition became better, he suddenly looked average.

I believe Pittman won 5 races last year in the car and a couple were 360's. Lance has 1 win so far and a 2nd at the Grove where he was the fastest car and ran out of laps and a 2nd at Lincoln. Other than that it's mostly been a struggle. I didn't think he looked bad at Port Saturday night. He started out drawing a bad pill that put him in the last row of the toughest heat where he made it up to 4th(passed 5 cars). Started 13th in the feature, finished 7th.
Pittman was more consistently towards the front last year but there were quite a few nights when they struggled badly too.

I get what you are saying, but let's not act like Shaffer was running 15th every night while Leppo was setting the world on fire. Shaffer won track championships at the Grove in 07 and 09. Won championships at the Port in 08 and 09. He didn't race last year and in 2010 and 2011 it was spotty when and where and what he was racing.
I like Leppo. It's clear he has a great following and would sell a bunch of t-shirts. But if Shaffer made it clear that he wanted a ride, it would be my guess the call would go to him before Leppo. Especially a Port car like the 27 typically has been.

Shaffer is done and has no plans for returning. straight from the horses mouth at a biker rally last year. He is enjoying getting to do what he couldn't do while racing, and spending time with the family.

Everyone has their bad years, but this year isn't even halfway over yet. Look at Brad Sweet, he hasn't done anything this year either. I think Darrah has a long time with Kahne, I definitely don't see that ending anytime soon.

Sweet isn't full time on the tour. Even with that said, Brad has ran better than Cody has this season. I just can't imagine KKR keeping him around much longer. Too much talent out there that deserves a chance, Cody has had his and has yet to show any improvement. I use to think that you'll were just being hard on him, but I have finally seen the light. He goes through more equipment than Lance Blevins did. He was bad fast at Haubstadt but proved that he doesn't have the talent to win races consistently. He easily had the fasted car that night but exercised no patience and drove like an idiot. He wasn't racing the race or the track, all he wanted to do was outrun Saldana. Finally, Joey showed Cody the respect that he gotten.
I would love to see Sheldon Haudenschild in that ride. Damn, what a combo that would be.

The only thing that I assumed was that ibracn is geared toward furthering your biased agenda...
Nothing more, nothing less...
|
If what I'm hearing is true, TMZ, I mean ibracn, has perpetuated his/her own personal agenda... :/
Seams the water cooler talk (sorry I don't stand in beer lines) is that Hogneck and Illegal Lee are vying for this seat after, allegedly, running Mr. Trone out of money... :o
Stay tuned race fans...

Did you double check your sources? So you spreading rumors is ok but but what I do isn't....interesting. Working on your own agenda I see? Sounds like a National Enquirer bit to me.

I heard someone say that cody dad owns 15 percent of the team. If true that could have something to do with it. Just saying.
