Plenty of strange occurances in this one, Zomer took off from the pole and maintained a healthy lead, Dobmeier charged from 9th to 2nd and was gaining slightly though not nearly enough on Zomer in traffic. Then with about 10 to go Zomer drove over the back of a lapped car (Runge??) and shortly thereafter Dobmeier spun in traffic in turn 1. The caution came out and Zomer went pitside with a flat right front. Bakker inherited the lead in this and maintained it to the finish, Boles passed Nygaard late for 2nd. Dobmeier and Schlieman won the heats.
