I was not there for Sunday, personal reasons sent me home after Saturdays rain out. After winning his first Winged Must see race on Wednesday Wilson came back on Sunday to score his first Little 500. Jo Jo Helberg, fresh off a win at Winchester was second after sitting on the pole. Nine time and now retired Eric Gordon was third, Tony Elliot was third driving a Nolen V/6 and former winner Chet Fillip finished fifth. I will have my column about our adventures at this years Little done soon. It.s hard to type right now. Read Runnin, the High Groove soon. If your looking for pavement news please go to www.pavementsprints.com it is written ny my friend David Sink and friends and it is a top notch pavement sprints car web site. You are correct the Little 500 is indeed one of the most famous and storied sprint car races each year and has a rich history including the only annual sprint car race that when started was for the roaring roadsters and evolved into a sprint car race. The eleven rows of three cars flying start on a quarter mile banked oval is the most exciting start in all of automobile racing.

Just an awesome race this year. For being a 500 lap race, these guys race like it's a 30 lap A main.... diceing in & out of lapped traffic. Several different leaders, tons of passing, lots of drama and a new winner. I am a dirt fan but this race is my favorite of the year.

This should be on everyones bucket list.

Thanks to those who replied. I followed the updates and results on twitter and other forums, but was just surprised that no one on here even as much as mentioned it. Especially given it's history and all. Anyway, thanks for the heads up on pavementsprints.com. I didn't know Sink was involved. Haven't seen or talked to Davey in years. Maybe one of these years I'll make it back to the Little 5
