Does anyone know any photographers or friends who shot the sprint car races at Syracuse in 1985 and 1986? I need to see or purchase particular pictures of the Weikert/Wolfgang #29 car of those years. It is a Gambler chassis car that may have run one of those years that I need.I appreciate any help. Mail to [email protected] or reply on board or can give phone if needed.

If Greg Stephans shot video of this Event, He could pull pictures from the time line and get an idea of the paint scheme Your after.Competitors in This Event, perhaps took more courage than most Events, on The level of Eldora and then some. Glenn Donally's This Week on Dirt may have had video for sale.

Speaking of Doug, it was mentioned on ADN last night that he was in the hospital. Get Well Soon Wolfie!

Don't know anything about Doug in a hospital but they said tonight at Husets he's the special guest tomorrow night on Race Track Live.

I'll bet they are shots of the Trostle chassis car. I don't think the one I have ever ran at Knoxville. The one I need would have the top frame rail bowed out a bit from the bottom of hood to accept a big block motor.I appreciate your reply.Give them a lookover for the bow in rail.

Doug was at Husets Sunday night.
Doug was on crutches as a result of an infection caused by his burns.
Doug was his normal self. just moving around a little slower is all.
Heal up soon Wolfie.

I have one hanging on my wall of Wolfgang in a Weikert Big Block Gambler with the pushed out frame rail. I don't know for sure where it was taken, but the bottom says "Track Master Photos 1984". I believe Doug did run the Gambler chassis that first year with Weikert at knoxville, because he left for Pennsylvania in July after the Cedar Lake WoO race, and didn't go to Des Moines until the off-season to build the Trostle cars. Hope this helps.
