This is the first I have heard of this and I was asked to pass it on (written by Chad Black Sr.) :
On Saturday May 11th, my friend and coworker Robbie Berge was severely burned while racing at Cycleland near Chico. The K art developed a fuel leak that was subsequently ignited by a spark. Robbie suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns to his right leg and abdomen. He is currently at UC Davis Burn Center receiving treatment.... He is a dedicated father and employee for Butte EMS in Chico. I consider Robbie a close friend and I am sure those of you who know him feel the same. A few fellow EMS professionals and I are setting up a Benefit savings account for Robbie and his family to help offset any financial needs that may arise while he is recovering. We are reaching out to our EMS, Fire and his racing friends to help anyway they can. I believe Robbie is an asset to our EMS community. I know he would help a friend, coworker or fellow racer if the tables were turned. It is time to help one of our own in his time of need. I have established an account with Rabobank. Donations can be made starting Friday, May 17th at any Rabobank Branch under the name Robbie Berge. You may also mail donations made out to Robbie Berge in C/O Chad Black, P.O. Box 3274, Paradise, CA 95967 or go to http://www.queststart.com/funds/104 and look up Robbie Berge.
Please contact me via message on Facebook (Chad Black Sr) with any questions or comments. Thank you very much for your support. Chad Black
