Kyle Larson will definitely be at Port Royal on Saturday in the 1K. I've been waiting almost a year to see him back in PA. Thing's just might be different this time in his new car. Check out his twitter account to see his comments on it.

Carpool arrangements from the South are to be finalized @ The Cow Palace during Farm Show Friday...
My Boss bet me 20$ that Smitty won't show on Friday...If he doesn't show, I get the $20...If he shows, he gets the $20...Why $20 you ask? Because everyone is a fan of the 20$...

Or things could be the same as last year. Let it play out first, then chest thump or bury your head, after the fact. His accomplishments speak for themselves, he doesn't need the hype machine anymore. This is where the pissing matches get started, unless that's the intent here.

DHowe, That was on my intention at all. I'm just glad he is anxious to get back and give it another shot. It's all about competition with me.

Did Kyle run Port last year during his swing? That track seems to be the friendliest of the 3 to outsiders in past years...

Im happy to see Kyle back in the 1K. Looking forward to seeing him, no matter how it turns out..

No one as ever claimed him as Posse...outside of trolls that do it just to get a rise out of guys like you. And it works every time which is hilarious.

He did pass Rahmer in the closing laps at Grandview to claim third during the speedweek race. Not to shabby.

How do you take this as chest thumping or hype?! Casprintman was simply stating he's excited to see Kyle race there and hoping for a good result.
Might as well not post anything about getting excited to see any driver or sanctioning body.

I have a question, When did the PA Posse start and why did it start?
|
The Pa Posse moniker was coined by the late Jack Gunn in late '70's. Jack was then the promoter at Wiliams Grove. He came up with the idea as a tool for promoting the races when the WoO came to the Grove to take on the regulars.....Posse vs. Outlaws!!!. Unlike Calif fans who seem to claim anyone in the entire state of Calif as 'regular'..the Posse was reserved for those locals who raced regularly at one track, Williams Grove. Over the years it has since expanded to include those tracks in the south central Pa area. i.e. Selinsgrove, Port Royal, Lincoln, and Williams Grove. Example. While Ed Lynch, Jr, Tim Shaffer, Danny Holtgraver, etc are from Pa, they are NOT considered Posse as they race primarily in western Pa and Ohio. Hope this helps.

We do claim everyone in Norcal. California is really broken up in 4 regions. Northern, Bay Area (both are Norcal), Central Valley and Sothern (Socal).

Something which gets lost in this Posse debate is that many compare whole states and sometimes entire regions of the country to a half dozen county area of Pa. and not a heavily populated area at that. How many realize that the entire population of the county for example Juniata County, (the home of Port Royal Speedway) is around 23,000. And the county has produced the likes of Jim Nace, Keith Kauffman, Todd Shaffer others with fewer wins and good future prospects. It has been said that Juniata County has one of the highest per capita number of sprintcar wins anywhere.

It started because the California bad ass drivers went over there once and blessed them with their presence. So they claimed the better ones and haven't stopped yet.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

You obviously know nothing about California and racers FROM California.
I LEARNED ESP FROM MY MOM

Brad Sweet is also racing there this weekend, where is his good luck, hoping for a good result post? Just saying, people love to pump the hype about Kyle, even though he is long beyond needing anyone's hype. It should be no big deal when he shows up somewhere. If he does good, even no bigger of a deal. He does poorly, then the pundits will jump all over the hype machine makers and throw it back in their faces. Just let him be, he doesn't need any more message board help.
