The whining about the WoW is deafening. Mostly from guys whose only experience of winged sprint cars is the WoW. If they would go up north and see some King of the West, Civil War, Taco Bravo or Rebel Cup shows they might change their minds. I have just returned from my 3rd WoW show at Hanford. Saw 2 WoW shows at Tulare. Tulare had 32 cars both nites, Hanford had 27 cars. Other shows had car counts from 27 to 44. Of the 10 shows on the western swing 4 have been won by NorCal drivers. Notice that there were very few NorCal guys at Perris. The bottom line is a WoW show is much better when they have outstanding drivers like we have or when they run with the PA Posse. Those Posse guys usually beat up on the WoW pretty good when they run in PA. So that is why I was at Tulare instead of Perris. Rebel Cup winged 360's had 19 or 18 cars, USAC West Coast had about the same number of cars. Seen the USAC W/C 3 times and they always put on a great show. It was interesting comparing qualifying times. The Rebal wings averaged 2 seconds faster than than the USAC cars, both running 360's. This and the fact that wings never have to lift is what grabbed my attention, did I mention that they can pass going thru the turns. Looking forward to seeing USAC W/C at Perris.
