Anybody have any info on the Southern Outlaw Sprint Series?? Do they have a website, schedule etc? Thanks.

Yes ive seen the website but just curious what other people may know or have seen. Where are they getting cars from, how have the shows/tracks/crowds been... Just some more info beyond what the website gives

I hope you were able to get much info from their website, but I will add the following: The SOS organization was started by Mike Miller, who was the president of the Cajun Sprinters until last season's end. The racing is good with several good cars and drivers from along the gulf coast. Most were formerly with the Cajun Sprinters and are good shoes. I used to look at that series as a support or developmental group but have long since decided that this is a bunch of good shoes. The problem was that the Cajuns required the cars to be cabureted which I am sure kept many drivers from nearby areas from competing. Not so with the Southern Outlaws.
it was easy enough to bolt on injectors and go run with the USCS or ASCS orgsnizations snd the local drivers proved to be font -runners as Michael Miller did last year winning a big USCS race at Phenix City after starting at (or near the tail).
This past weekend, the group ran at Loxley, Al and the race was won by Terry Gray with his team car finishing 2nd with Morgan Turpin at the controls. I think that they, along with some other mid-south drivers will be running SOS shows if they don't conflict with USCS or other shows. Miller has said that he is scheduling so as to avoid other groups races in the southeast. Two of the group's regulars were leading until mechanical woes sent them to the pits last weekend.
As a matter of fact, they have co-scheduled some races with USCS.
