Halliburton just announced that they will be moving their headquarters from Houston to Dubai.

Why would we give any contracts for Defense Department or Armed Forces work to a company headquartered in Dubai? Didn't we already go through this with the Dubai ports deal?

These guys are rubbing it on our face that they are no longer going to call themselves an American company and they still want no-bid US government contracts. I don't think so.

Federal investigators says Halliburton was responsible for $2.7 billion in waste and overcharging for contracts executed in Iraq. When are they going to give us that money back? That's our money. They keep getting this corporate welfare, keep ripping us off and now they're not even an American company!

Plus, they do business with Iran. That is illegal. They think they are being cute by setting up a subsidiary in the Cayman Islands that is not connected to the main company. The Justice Department doesn't think that's cute. They've started a criminal investigation.

You know the name of the subsidiary that is theoretically independent of Halliburton? Halliburton Products & Services Ltd. They're not even subtle. Do you know the man who was running Halliburton when they were doing business with Iran? Dick Cheney. They're not even subtle.

We'd be nuts to give these guys one more government contract.

I think what you are saying is if somebody is doing something illegal at a very high level, we

should just "Execute" them.

China just executed a former Drug and Aministration Top man for taking bribes and

being part of the release of a drug that killed a few people. Here's the article.

I think things in this country would change if we went back to the way we use to settle things

in America. A simple of act of stealing a man's horse meant death.

Our parents ruled with a iron fist.

We have gone down the "pot" literally and we need to start getting back to our roots.

    You have taken it to another level.

     Being a baby boomer who studied the death of JFK so elaborately in college with

the "Zapruder" film and examining the Time Magazine Cover,  with the forged picture of Lee Harvey

Oswald, progandizing him as being guilty with gun in hand and the assasination of Martin Luther King

and Macolm X, I'm starting to believe that when they starting taking God out of our schools,

and even out of our "Pledge of Alegance" , and separating Church and State back in

1942, that was the starting point of the Great Fall of our western society as we know it. today.

I agree with your sentiments Larry........although I strongly agree with the seperation of church and state. Our president has an approval rating of 28% and I'd bet they are almost all right wing christian fanaticals that think God wants us to fight the Muslims. Bush also thinks that he was sent by God to be president. If that was true they wouldn't have had to run the kind of campaigns they did both times......and completely buy the election the 2000. He runs around like if you are not for the war then you are against the US and you are unamerican...just about everything short of callin someone a terrorist. If he knows that 3/4 of the country wants this war to stop then why does he keep it going?

Everyone wonders why democrats don't speak the truth.....truth is they bought into it (literally) so they can;t bring down Bush without bringing down themselves. Bush never should have been a candidate for presidency......but all that money from Halliburton and Bin Ladens family goes a long long way in quieting any and all opposition. freedom. our government wages psychological war on we think we're free because we can live "normal" lives. If everything today is accepted as normal - then things will never get any better...just worse and worse.

Religion is what has fooled this country into following this guy. He trumps god's will everytime the war is criticized........but has Dubai or the Saudi Royal Family's interest more at heart than his own citizens. actually defense contracts to his friends has the most importance. doesn't matter that its at the cost of human life. takes a lot of spin control for that to not be an issue. thats why it is really good that everyone thinks Bush is a dumbass.....the way they see it its better to be a called a dumbass than a criminal. it's good to know that some see through the crap.....but since the disaster---I mean puchase---in the 2000 election most of those people do not feel like their vote counts. I bet poor Jeb feels like big bro screwed his chances to ever run for pres. although as dumb as people are they would probably think god sent him as well. Lastly.....someone needs to put Ann Coulter in her place. That chic is more radical than a terrorist. she is a complete bozo.
