They suck frown I always like tulare, but it seems like the last few years I have been going the track is rough especially in turn 1, and contrary to the what the announcer saying it is due to spring rains, the track is rough in spring, summer and fall. Not sure why tulare did not drag the tractor with the spinning wheel for 5-10 minutes before the main and loosen up the rubber down spots on the tracks. It was already laying down rubber in the previous race which was a non-wing 360, but did they think would happen with 410 winged cars. Tulare was/is still my favorite track, but I was disappointed with the track conditions (too rough) and the rubber down track for the main on saturday.

Just a thought, but my guess would be that time limitations forced them to not rework the track prior to the 410 A-Main

Anouther reason to not have support classes. Or just 1 at most.

They had plenty of time!

I was hoping Allard would get the jump on one of the restarts but it just didn't happen. So close to our locals sweeping the weekend. How sweet that would have been!

I threw that out as a possibility because I believe I heard on Fri. night they cut laps short on the Main due to a curfew. Those who were there know better than I do though I'm sure.

The other thing about the decision to farm up a track is usually a tricky one too because they risk fans being impatient because of the time it takes as well as the racers are usually not real excited about it because they have usually got there setups dialed in based on the track they've seen all night and then you go out and dig it up and change it so there is more guess work for them as to what the setup is going to be. Decisions are always easier in hindsight but at the time the promoter has alot of different aspects they need to consider to make the decision, and you can be pretty much guaranteed some will be happy and some will be upset with whatever choice you make. Not that I'm a fan of a rubber down track either, I just know the decisions aren't usually easy for the promoter and track either.

Where I sat (turn 4) there were less people on Sat than Fri. I think the door bangers, which ran on Fri only, had something to do with that. Still, I'm surprised people paid $40 to watch a small field of cars.

Yeah..what MSPN just said +1.

I don't think x7 is the typical SIDES fan. I would give SIDES more credit.

Since this thread was originally about a rubber down track I wanted to make a comment.

When Friday night's race at Stockton doesn't take down rubber, and is instead ripping up in the turns ,and making a dust bowl on the straightaway's.

You will be wishing for the track to be like Tulare, because you could at least see the races there.

I have been to a lot of first time run tracks, and even raced a couple , but the outcome was always the same.Tracks need to get worked in,and the outlaws will have too much horsepower for a new track.

It will be interesting just the same.Good luck Stockton ,and I hope you prove me wrong, and we all see a really good night of races.

Before you start bashing I will state for the record I'm excited about the new track.Just wondering why they wouldn't run some classes on the track to see what they got before bringing in," the greatest show on dirt."

If I knew a track, any track was likely to have rubber down tracks, I WOULD NEVER ATTEND even if the tickets were free, for $45 tickets I EXPECT BETTER. My time is worth more than watching cars run a parade.

Instead of taking 10-20 minutes to interview the drivers for the DASH, instead use that time for track prep. I was not asking for them to turn over the track, just a few laps (5 minutes or so) to run the tractor with the spinning tiller to brake up the track surface where rubber down was just starting.

There was only one support class for the night. There was approximately 20 non wing sprints, 31 winged sprints, 3 heats for both classes, two dashes, one semi, 25 lap non-wing fan main, and 35 lap WOO main. IMHO, there was not a great amount cars and racing to have a rubber down track. If you think time constraints are going to be a problem, adjust the schedule so that the WOO main is the priority (and track prep) before the support classes are run.

DJ Netto - wtf would you spin out the 2nd place car in the semi when the top 6 were going into the main. STUPID MOVE, (but maybe he got his time back or something, but hitting a car's rear bumper and spinning them out is not a wise move, especially to Sides). What Sides did was wrong, but I think his intentions for Netto was to stop on the track so he would also not make the main, he placed his car so Netto had no place to go but to stop. Instead Netto (to my surprise) kept going, and ran over the fence and damn near turned over. Than Sides was DQ, and stopped on the exit of the track. Netto restarted and faded to the back (with a damaged car) and did not transfer.

At this point, I thought it was JUSTICE or Karma. You Fu$k me, I f you back harder. Than I see Netto get a provsional, WTF - how many races did Netto run to earn it. Sides runs the series for a living. I could be wrong, but I thought Las Vegas was the first WOO event for Netto. I lost repect for WOO how they handled the situation.

I'm not a Netto or Sides fan. To me, I had hoped when Netto spun Sides, he would get sent to the back of the track. DIDN"THAPPEN. Than Sides decided to take things into his own hand put Netto in the wall under caution, and that was wrong and deserved to get DQ, but I did not feel any sympathy for Netto. You wrong someone, you should suffer the consequences.

I lost respect for WOO officials, Netto, and Sides (not for spinning out Netto, but for stopping ont the track exit after he was DQ). And especially more for WOO for giving Netto a provisional.

.
