In case we have a lot of rain on Thursday and Friday and the infield gets to muddy, you will be pitting outside on the pavement as you did at the season opener three years ago. Please be prepared.

Just talked to Don Kazarian. There has been quite a bit of rain at the track today. Cars are pitting outside for sure.

Scott, you are correct there has been a lot of rain the last 2 days. It is apparently supposed to rain overnight also. Also supposed to clear up on Saturday. Are you fairly sure the race will come off as scheduled ? If so a huge Thank you must go to Don and everyone at the PAS. We are all watching for updates with out heavy coats at the ready. Jack

Jack, not sure yet. As of now, the race is one. Rain had kept Don off the track all day long, but when I talked to him a couple of hours ago it was slowing down and he was going to go check on the condition of the surface. Most of the rain is east of us now and the chance of anymore is slim (20% overnight). That is good for us, but it now depends on the condition of the surface. Will keep you guys updated on here when I hear from him.

I live 36 miles west of the track and while it rained hard for a couple hores here overnight, it stopped at 4:00 AM. We did not have any other rain until between 11:00 and noon and it was very light for about 15 minutes. Then we had another brief shower that just got the ground wet about 3:00 PM. Up until about 2:00 we had an equal amount of sun and clouds here. Talked to Ronnie Everhart who lives fairly close to the track and she said it rained all day at her place, too.

Pitting outside could be a good thing . Move some new team t shirts and get the youngsters hooked so they tug on dad all year and ask to go to the races. Are the fans gonna have access?
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

Not 100% sure, but don't think so. Insurance could be a problem with such a short notice.

It is still raining and it is 6:00! We will make a final decision at 9:00 am in the morning.
Hopefully we do not get any more measurable rain tonight! We are pretty soaked right now. All haulers need to enter the racetrack through Gate "B" off of Lake Perris Drive and head towards the KB Homes Arch. The pit gate will be in the Arch. All gates to the racetrack will be locked and closed until 4:00 to allow the dirt to dry. If it is dry enough we will open the gates earlier. That is it from here, we need some sunshine tomorrow!!!!!!!!!

Don

Pit area will be open for parking rigs at noon and the pit gate will open at 2:00.
