Many of you probably remember Ed Watson and many of his sprint cars in Northern CA back in the 70's, 80's and 90's. R.I.P Ed.

Sorry to hear about Ed's passing....never really knew him that well until he started shopping at my store in Roseville...he was very proud to have had one of the best cars in the west as well as having drivers from all over come drive for him...If I remember right he said Rendy Boldrini was his favorite driver...never got to see his 67 Camaro...damn shame...
God Speed Ed
The older I get, the faster I used to be.

I remember Haud wheeling the pink 78 for Ed back in the mid-80s.

Sorry to hear this news. Ed was a good guy. He was hard to get to know but once you knew him he was as good as gold. You could write a seriously good and probably many times funny book with the stories accumulated over the years. Back in the early '90's I took some pictures of him with is motorcycle along with who I believe was his wife (it was a long time ago) during the down time at Calistoga. It meant a lot to me that Ed seemed to genuinely like those pictures. Ed was also one of the best head officials NARC ever had in my opinion. Impartial and fair which is a lot more than can be said for the man he replaced and the man he was replaced by when whatever took place that made it so that he was no longer in that position. Rest in peace Ed.
