Yeah that was the dumbest part of the article. He definitely cut his teeth racing on Northern California tracks but American Speedway had little to nothing to do with it that place is a snooze fest.

Kyle ran one race there, a USAC pavement show in 2009 I think it was. It was his first pavement start.
