Thankfully, it started snowing here about 15 minutes ago and I lost my DISH signal. That is fine as the race is not a race but a "yellow-fest!" Now I know what some people mean when they complain about all the yellow/red flags at a sprint race. This is a disgrace to racing!
I LEARNED ESP FROM MY MOM
"PUT YOUR SWEATER ON: DON'T YOU THINK I KNOW WHEN
YOU'RE COLD?"

This is by far the most pathetic excuse of a race I made the mistake of watching. What a joke. Asphalt racing sucks. Period. I don't think they ran more than 5 consecutive green laps.

Those same cars at Thompson CT, Waterford, or many other real race tracks put on a great show.

Probably can't expect much else on a flat, narrow paperclip track. The "short track" at Daytona is the asphalt equivalent of the dirt track on the drag strip at Heartland Park in 1999 and 2000. (The racing was pretty awful there, too.)
If they're going to build a short track at Daytona, they should do it on the frontstretch and incorporate the tri-oval--at least SOME of the track will have some banking, and there might actually be some racing.
Better yet--just set the cameras up at Volusia Speedway Park for the UNOH DIRTcar Nationals presented by Summit Racing Equipment. The World of Outlaws STP Sprint cars are just a little more exciting than the mess they tried to pass off as "racing" at Daytona.

Well said,John ! The really offensive part of this entire exercise in futility is asking fans to pay for admission to watch a parade of spinouts by "supposed " experienced professionals.
Had the area of competition been more conductive to side by side racing, there would at least have been an opportunity to show what these guys are capable of.

I couldn't agree more. I've always wanted to see more World of Outlaws races on TV. It's a lot better than 80% of the racing they show on SPEED.

I agree with the track 100% because the Modified guys usually put on a great show. I would think that a track like Daytona could have thought of a better concept than putting some tires in the middle of the backstretch and having the cars go around them. I like the fact that they are trying to get some of the smaller series some exposure during speedweeks but last night was just plain boring. I would change the channel for a few minutes to kill time so I didn't have to here the horrible announcers make small talk during the caution flags but everytime i would turn the channel back, the race was still under caution.
