Nice clear shot as always. Those new Indy Cars however are just damn ugly. I've about lost hope that those that run Indy Car will ever scratch the surface of being a prestigious series again.

Maybe it's just me, but the black sidepods combined with the shadows make the car look like it's actually squatting in the rear a little. Interesting optical illusion.
For the 500 itself, last year's race was great. The fans have started to come back at least a little. As far as the politics in running the series...well, that's a different matter but the 500 is far from dead.

I'll give you some cred that the Indy 500 isnt totally dead (yet). The empty seats of today vs. the sellout crowds of the 60's - 70's and 80's show that the series is choking a slow death. That IRL fiasco set the race back a couple of decades. Not a couple of years, but decades.
