he is probably the most entertaining driver to ever strap in it just sucks that he can't pull his head out of his ass and be serious about racing

Tyler's talent is overrated. When the race conditions require some finesse he's average at best.

Anyway, I think what's more improtant is his character, or should I say lack thereof. Tyler is a spoiled, selfish, disrespectful-punk!

Why are people hell bent on making excuses for this POS? Let Tyler finally accept some responsibility for his actions!

Bragging about taking your kids to see T-Dub's "dreads" and "pants on the ground" seems to be counterproductive.

I would personally like to see all sanctioning bodies and race tracks, associated with sprint car and or midget racing, ban Tyler for life. It's time to stop glorifying this idiot!

I wonder if this will have any affect on his Posse ride?

Mean spirited & vindictive.

Nobody is glorifying or even defending him. He did an incredibly stupid & irresponsible thing. If he serves his time & ever gets his act together, he deserves a chance to resume his career.

revjimk, I (obviously) can't speak for the poster you refer to but I think he might be getting at "just how many chances" do you give? NASCAR booted Tyler because of drugs. It seems to be a problem he continues to carry with him. At this point in his life I think his "future racing career" should not be of too much concern. I think far more important to any racing should be what can he do to clean his life up? I know I've gone through this for over forty years with my youngest sibling and there came a time where all the family just had to sever ties with him. At 59 he FINALLY started making some changes. If I were a car owner I would be far more concerned about him getting help than I would about him driving for me. Some posters might seem a little "cold" in their statements but I can certainly understand why they feel the way they do. Thanks for letting me vent! Smile

Uh no... This is what mean spirited and vindictive looks like. I think we've seen and heard enough! It's time to ban the canoe grabing, F-bomb laced nonsense!

Uhm I'm sure hodnett and dewease and Rahmer have earned some recognition away from their porch. Why does everyone have to continuously be on here bashing Posse drivers and what we can and can't do?? We have the same amount of talent as everyone else, so what if we don't do great away from home, hence the "PA" part of posse. Get over yourself and get back to the original post.

Hannity: I was there & witnessed the incident. It was a temper tantrum over what he considered a bad call. Somewhat amusing at the time, actually. He wasn't threatening to "Ban" anybody "for life"

Opnwhlr: Agreed that getting his act together is more important than racing, & its lucky he didn't kill someone. Notice I said "IF" he rehabiliates himself, he deserves to continue his career. I've worked with several ex-cons who were productive & responsible people (now). If you deny a man his trade, you're almost pushing him into crime.

Why is he out on bail? I thought high speed pursuits were an automatic 6 month jail term (period) at least in CA. We have high speed pursuits daily. Enjoyed watching Tyler race, but ... his erratic behavior endanger others and like others said, all sprint car and/or racing organizations should not allow Tyler to race for a long time if ever. Shane Hmeil got his life together and deserved another chance, but not so sure for Tyler. It's one thing to be a drug addict, but another to drove through 3 states at dangerous speeds while intoxicated. How many times has Tyler been in trouble with the law, his arrest report said something about two dui's.

Yep, he sure could use a few good friends; because friends don't let friends drive Fords.

really? and how many races did he win on the short tracks of cali? did you see any of his performances at grandview? i think he at his best on a short tight track. and as far as him getting banned.....what about the amazing story of shane meihl? or fike? should they and others that got caught abusing substances be forever banned? sorry to say but its just a reflection of of todays world and there is a lot more going on that people, including racers, DONT get caught for. i am a huge fan of TW but i believe he is in bad shape. and i hope, somehow, he finds his way back.

Your great grandmother in the 1800 to early 1900 could possibly be addicted to morpine, heroin and other opium products. You could buy these items without a prescription. These items were found in many tonics. There was no aspirin or tylenol for pain. Of course opium products worked well. Heroin was at one time considered a cure for morphine addiction. Of course people became addicted. Amphetamines were given to fighter pilots to keep them awake and also given to guards that had to stay up all night. Amphetamines like dexadrine were not a control item untill about 1965. Americans should be ashamed over our desire foe recreaional drugs. The 500 killings a year in Chicago gangs is for drug sales. Peopler are getting killed so you can smoke weed and take meth or morpine. The drug war in Mexico is killing to get and control drug sales to US. If you take drugs you help the killings. Some think that they are just gang members so who cares

Drugs are a disease, hopefully Tyler can get the professional help he needs.

I agree that drugs are a disease once you start, but they are also a choice. Yes many people start due to peer pressure but still it comes down to ones decision to do them. Tyler has no one to blame but himself for the position he is in and the worst thing he needs is sympathy from people for his current predictament.

I do not feel sorry one bit for the position that he is in. I do hope that he does turn his life around but I also do not want to see him on the race track anytime soon. Racing is not a right it is a privilege and he has abused his privilege as well.

I agree Nick14, drugs are for sure a disease, but one has to bring it upon himself. I haven't tried drugs of any form and nobody tried to force any on me. Tylor has had more chances than he deserves, in my opinion. Why keep defending this idiot and giving him all this ink and attention. Lets face is, he is a spoiled turd. You can polish a turd all day, and at the end of the day, you still got a turd. Having vented after reading all this post, I seriously hope for him and his family that he gets the help he so badly needs.

I used to feel bad for Tyler Walker. Some people make their bed, but by the same token some people sample something and have a reaction to it. In other words some folks are pre-disposed to getting hooked. That having been said I draw the line when their addiction starts to potentially effect others in a very negative way. Tyler needs more than a hand slap and he needs to get serious help. Screw his driving career. I would not want to race against someone when I had to worry about their sobriety. Racing against folks that might be high is no good, no matter how you cut it. Just because so and so might have done it does not make it any better. Tyler needs to be banned, because he has proven time and time again that he can not stay straight. He can not be trusted. Fairness to him and his career no longer matter. Frankly he is lucky that he did not kill someone while running from a situation that he created. Sorry, he WAS a good driver way back when. Today he is a hazard to every other driver who steps into a car. I wish him well, and I hope he recovers. He does not belong in a race car. A decision that he made, not any of us.
