PEORIA, Ariz. – Continued rain in Phoenix has forced the cancellation of Saturday night’s scheduled round two of the Winter Challenge at Canyon Speedway Park.
Round one was stopped Friday night when rain interrupted hot laps.
Round three of the Winter Challenge featuring the wingless sprint cars of the USAC Southwest and USAC West Coast Series along with IMCA Modifieds, Mini Sprints and Pure Stocks is still on as scheduled for Sunday with gates opening at 3:00 p.m. and racing action going green at 5:00 p.m.

The remaining 2013 Winter Challenge Schedule of Events is as follows:
Sunday, January 27 – Round 3 (Gates open at 3:00 p.m., Racing at 5:00 p.m.)
Monday, January 28 – Coyotes vs. Predators NHL game at Jobing.com Arena
Tuesday, January 29 – Winter Challenge Bowling Tournament at Brunswick Lanes
Wednesday, January 30 – Round 4 (Gates open at 5:00 p.m., Racing at 7:00 p.m.)
Thursday, January 31 – Octane Raceway Go-Karts
Friday, February 1 – Round 5 (Gates open at 5:00 p.m., Racing at 7:00 p.m.)
Saturday, February 2 – Round 6 (Gates open at 3:00 p.m., Racing at 5:00 p.m.)

Canyon going to try to do 2 full shows tomorrow
Correction- Canyon closing out next Saturday with a double header. Info came accross wrong .
