6,510 hits on this crap with 60 reply's, but when I post about a new series thats going to have true open comp "There will be no restrictions for aspiration, displacement, or fuel. Electronic fuel injection is allowed." there's not even one comment. http://www.hoseheadforums.com/forum.cfm?ThreadID=74336 These guys can run a 500ci engine with nitro and a turbo charger with if they want to, and not a peep?

Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

yeah my bad! that issue gets me livid, and I suppose I could try to debate this topic with the mail man but last time it took forever for the pepper spray to wear off. also I did not see the thread about open comp, that will be worth seeing for sure! glad somebody finally got back to basics. may the biggest pair carry the largest check!

Danika Patrick will probably be Nascars most popular driver.Her merchandise sales are near the top plus she has brought much attention to the sport.She can drive better than some and will be in good equiptment.Ricky is also very talented and will do well.What they do is their own business .She was to Indy Cars what Dale Sr. was to Nascar and they would welcome her back.If you think the P.R. that she generates is not what NASCAR wants you are dreaming.The best promoted motor sport is Monster Trucks and they have a few women drivers that help the young ladies to want to attend.I went to a race in Newton and the Danica trailer sold more than all the rest combined.I would have liked to see her at the Chili Bowl as with her size she might have turned some heads or not.She has model looks just in a more natural body.

I know Danica has made a press release. But what about Ricky?

I am a little curious about your above statement.

Were you privy to all the sales totals for each hauler or are you just stating what you "think?"

You are absolutely correct. The hype is what breathes life into the business aspect of racing because lord knows if it were only drivers and mechanics going to the races there would be no night races because "we spent the utility bill money on these trick ultra lightweight flux-capacitors." Racing is a very consumer driven industry and without one the other would not exist, so sell that s**t to Jesus Christ himself if that's what keeps the food chain thriving. When it turns into things about one driver's relationship with another driver teenage girl type sh*t it has gone to far and she's managed to make chatter in this one little spot on the internet that I follow to hear what's happening with people in other areas and to catch a laugh or two. I'm totally feeding into it too, so I am responsible myself. I tell you what though, if I could assemble an "elite" circuit using nothing but bad ass, certified, show me the money drivers, give them all unlimited funds, and go cross country with one trailer full of whatever they could get to fit, their choice of one each- machinist, tool and dye maker, engineer, chemist, female companion (allowed to alternate every 500 miles if need be, for mental stability) and an ox, you probably wouldn't hear much about it because everybody is bill gates rich and don't need to sell no stinking t shirts to justify their worth.( humor) Hit various venues in multiple vehicles and finish the year at pikes peak, race to the top, then set fire to a stack of $100 bills. Pay everyone with a steak dinner and a 12 pack of anything but PBR, then get them liquored up so they bench race and talk sh*t to eachother until the sun comes up. Last man standing is overall champion. Holy hell man I'm sorry for tacking this rambling onto your well composed and factual observation of the situation, I mean no disrespect and we kinda make eachothers points really, here's my final word- if that young lady can get in a sprint car and show me something that makes me cringe a little, I will happily eat every last one of the 8,000,000 words I've typed on this subject. Until then stay the **** out of Tulsa in January!

The ""Danicky duo" both fared much better today than what I "predicted" so I'll fess up.

I projected "her" to finish 27th and "him" to be 24th. Good for them. I'm especially happy she didn't take anybody out. She drove a good race...stayed in the "follow the leader" line and did well.
