Unfortunately the real number is closer to 3%.
The unenployment numbers are taken from EVERYONE that does not have a job. Including the disabled, elderly, etc. So a real breakdown would be 3% unemployed, 3% lazy deadbeats, 2% elderly, disabled, etc. I can say this from personal experience. We own an automotive business and contracting company. People don't want to work, they would rather sit on their tails and collect the free handouts! Been looking for good help for 2 years now!
Good luck Bill, wish we were closer, I would put you to work!

CB, you need to quit drinking that Kool Aid. It's been laced with something and you've lost your mind.

Nah......I stay way from the Kool Aid. Once had a bad experience with it!
Unemployment will never drop below 5% because again, the numbers are figured to include retired, disabled, etc. If everyone that were willing and able found a job today, unemployement would still be at 5%. So if the government says we're at 8%, that means only 3% are in Bill's current situation, unemployed and looking. The rest are retired, disabled, deadbeats, etc. Not every company is shrinking, not every field is shrinking. Unfortunately the world is changing and therefore leaving good, hard working people out of a job - in their field. New fields are popping up everyday and thriving......it's just a change in times. We have to learn to adapt.....
