How many races do you get to?
God we all love it, but some of us are luckier than others. I get to about 75 races a year maybe 10 different tracks. I wish I could go to every track.
How about you?
Do you travel or just stick to your home track?
How many races would you go to if you could?
What is stopping you?

How about you? I got to about 1 race (maybe 2) races per month starting in March until October! I have been going to races with my dad for as long as I can remember and I can still remember going to Baylands before it closed and I was 5 years old
Do you travel or just stick to your home track? My dad and I go to different tracks in Northern California (Marysville, Chico, Placerville, Antioch, Petaluma, and Calistoga mainly). We also go to Tulare for the Trophy Cup! My home track is Marysville and it is only 10 minutes away so I enjoy bringing my kids( they are 3 and 4 years old) to the races since it is very close and they are free so it's fun for them too! We follow the KWS series and also a few Civil War races. Also the World of Outlaws when they come to Antioch. I have tickets to the April 5th race! We have great racing here in CA and we don't have to travel too far so I feel really lucky!
How many races would you go to if you could? Before I was married and had kids I would go to races almost every weekend and follow the GSC serious. I must admit that because I don't go to as many races I really do appreciate the ones I get to go to. We have to pick and choose the best races that are not too far of a drive, but we always end up having fun and seeing a good race!
What is stopping you? Of course I want to spend time with my kids and my husband on the weekends and he has never really been into the races. He doesn't dislike them, he would just rather do something else with his time, but he thinks they are the best thing on dirt and way more exciting that Nascar, he he! Of course money too! It costs a lot of money to drive to all the races, stay in hotels, and other expenses.
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

racecars on dirt!

How many races do you get to? 17 & 1 Street Rod show (down from mid 40's in previous years)
Do you travel or just stick to your home track? There are two tracks 32 miles from the end of my driveway, three tracks an hour away and several more in the hour and a half range. That suits me just fine.
How many races would you go to if you could? I'm cutting down to around a half dozen this season out of necessity.
What is stopping you? Grandma said that 14 years of writing for racing papers and magazines and buying new camera bodies every few years is enough. We have to pay down some debt to get ready for retirement. In other words a lack of money.
P.S. I can't go back to sitting in the grandstand, no interest in doing that. I'm either involved hands on or I'll find something else to do. I can take a pretty decent photo and write a story but bleachers are too hard on my back and neck. I have always be moving, photography and reporting filled that need all those years. The walking trail across the road from the house will pick up where I left off. If we hit the Publisher's Clearing House or Lottery and I can replace worn out camera equipment and replenish the gas and hot dog budget we'll get back into the racing.

59 races @ 9 tracks in twenty twelve...I'm looking to slim that down in twenty thirteen to about 45 events mainly due to the fact that Hagerstown's schedule sucks on wheat toast and the racing @ Trail Way last year was less than pathetic...
Opinions may vary...

Made it to 75 races at 22 different tracks in 2012. Would love to get that number up to 100 at 25. I work at local tracks but venture out into the region whenever I have a chance.

I go to about a dozen or so sprint car races per year.
I junior drag race with my son mostly now.
What's stopping me from more? Cause I work in the industry taking engines apart, ordering parts, selling parts, putting engines together, scheduling truck lines to pick up and deliver engines, and I get to hear the dyno run when were finished. Basically it gets old and as I get older I really don't care to go.

For 20 years I was at a different track every week from Feb thru Nov.
Since the end of '06, the Trophy Cup is the only week-end for me.
The best part is I have EVERY ONE of them on video!
