Way to post useful info macpac. I for one am thankful he puts on the two shows in during Southern Iowa Speedweek.
I thouht Terry tweeted he had an announcement regarding his racing program but never saw it..maybe I missed it unless it was regarding his ride down under.
There's a good article by Bill W on his website that gives a little insight.

I actually think McCarl is pretty reasonable w/ his ticket pricing for his 2 shows. Needs to work on car counts next year, the Sunday 410 show at Knoxville really killed his count last year.

Fleecing??? The USAC shows were awesome.. Don't blame Mccarl for the FRC car counts blame that on high profile teams that chose not to race at Osky... What Terry and family do for the fans every year is a blessing.. Im sure given his way he would love to hold that race at a better facility but the logistics of Knoxville make that difficult..
More weight, more regulation, more similarity in the
cars.... that will ensure plenty of thrills for years
to come. Only the most average talent behind the
wheel will be needed with such awesome equipment on
the track!

Macpac: I am very concerned about yourobsession withTerry McCarl. A quick review of your 250+ post reveals you have an issue. I will be awaiting your phone call to tell me where and when you are spending your personal money promoting a winged and non winged sprint car shows.
If you object to the "fleecing" don't go. I am positive you would not be missed. I would love to meet you in persons and have you detail to me your concerns, which I will gladly share with the McCarls.

we should be thankfull that guys even take on this huge task of promoting. lots of time and lots of one's own money. more power to him i say, more power to him.
on the other hand, these kind of posts will come at a price, let the mc carls take care of this guy eh?
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..

I firmly believe if Terry hadn't got into sprint car racing from childhood that he would have been a fantastic lawyer or a top-notch sales professional. Having known tons of racers in my life Terry's character and smarts seperate him from the rest. I tell this to people all the time... Terry McCarl is my hero and he would be even if he wasn't a racer. Next time you see him shake his hand and say thanks and then tell people you met a genuine pioneer.

Didn't Terry get hit in the face by Erin Crocker once? Just a question....
