Kyle Larson took out the 30 Lap World Midget Derby tonight at Western Springs Speedway NZ in convincing fashion, lapping up to 8th place in a pretty strong field. His first chance to open his account for 2013 will be on 1st January with the 40 Lap King Of The Springs Classic followed by the World 50 Lapper on 3rd January. He has now won the first 2 features of the International Midget series and if he can pick up the 40 and 50 lap features he will be the first person to accomplish the feat of winning all 4 features. The likes of Aj Foyt, Mel Kenyon, Bob Tattersall, Rich Volger, Sleepy Tripp have all contested the series and never achieved the clean sweep........

Yeah...all because his rich folks "buy" these good rides for him!
There are some who will never admit this kid is the "real deal" and there is no telling how far he will go in the racing industry.
Oh, to be his age and have his talent and his future.
Hope he can sweep races three and four in the series and hope the people "down under" are enjoying their races.

75% of Kyle's weight must be in his right foot. What a talent--catch him in an open wheel car on dirt while you still can. I know he's said numerous times that he wants to continue racing on dirt with open wheel cars but some big time team may force him to stay on asphalt only--HOPE NOT, but what would you do if you were investing big sums of time, PR and money in him??

Said it before & will say it again, this kid is the only racer i have ever seen that I would compare to AJ Foyt; who I and many others consider the greatest race driver of all time.

Dave21X, I think Kyle is a real talent with a great future. Question--have you seen Tony Stewart and do you realize his credentials?? USAC Triple Crown Champion (all in the same year), 1997 IRL Indy Car Series Champion, 3 Time NASCAR Cup series champion with 47 total wins, 10 NASCAR Nationwide Series wins, 2 NASCAR Truck Series wins, 2006 IROC Series Champion, came within 20 minutes of winning the Rolex 24 Hour race at Daytona (suspension collapsed).
I agree A.J. is number 1 all time with Mario Andretti a close second and Tony Stewart is in the same listing and still building his statsin stock cars and open wheel cars on dirt.

If you are still thinking he's not the real deal, you are no doubt standing on your own D**K. The future will prove all of the doubters wrong. I am the Slide Job and I guarantee it!

That's why Kyle needs to sign with team owner who has roots in dirt racing. It would be shame to not see him run dirt races as he has said many times he wants to continue to do.Lets hope he can work it out as he is just awesome in open wheel cars!
