If your heading to the NW, you should check out the "new" Willamette Speedway in Lebanon, Oregon. The place has been the best late model track in the area for years , now after a remodel last year they now host both WoO and ASCS National. Drivers from both series gave rave reviews this past season. The new layout provides for great racing with both a top and bottom . I never saw so many slide jobs as I did there last year.

There is only 1 reason anybody would suggest that the best race track in the country sits in Tulare, California... It's TRUE!! Whether your watching TK put it anywhere it will fit(and some places that it doesn't) or Stevie Smith Win his first time ever running the place, Jac Haudenschild do it with no LR shock, Young Money(Kyle Larson) running with his RR on the fence, or watching a rookie turn before the turn 1 hole instead of after and putting through the fence into the work area! It consistently puts on the best shows. And I have left out a lot of amazing drivers and memories. But if your looking for a new race track to see put the ASCS National show at Cocopah Speedway in Yuma, AZ on the list.

Hard to top Knoxville. Not just Nationals but they have had some of the best racing ever on regular nights over the last few years.
Lakeside has great racing during the Outlaw shows also.

Elmwood Park, Norton KS. I bet you could put Knoxville on the inside of that old place. Seen a 305 race there and I sure couldnt tell they were 305`s.

Gotta love LA Raceway in MO. Saturday night specials with ASCS Warrior, 305s,
and wingless too. All sprint car shows in a clean, well-behaved environment for $15.
Money well spent if you can't get to Knoxville.

I was pleasantly surprised with Cocopah Speedway in Yuma, Arizona. I've been to all the famous tracks, excepting a few Ohio ovals mentioned above, and I'm pretty excited about what's going on at Cocopah. The place is owned by the same Indian tribe that owns the casino across the street, so it would seem that there are sufficient resources. I got the feeling that they're going to be throwing a lot of love and energy at it. The 2013 schedule reflects the enthusiasm of several travelling series.
The surface will provide a constant challenge in preparation as the Sun, with the 120 degree heat, remind us of it's influence. There is very little clay in the soil, it's really a sandy powder, so holding moisture is going to be tough. I saw a couple winged races there in 2012 and they did lay rubber, but the racing was pretty dang good. The announcer leaves a little to be desired, but he's genuine and he's got blood, sweat and tears in the place. I'm looking forward to multiple visits to Cocopah in 2013 and would recommend it to others.

I like the racing at Elko and the full service night club under the grandstand is pretty cool as well. The first year I went there when I was taking pics for the UMSS I hustled out to the parking lot after victory lane, tripped and took a nose dive camera in hand. I admit it was kind of dumb but I'm not used to paved parking lots and curbs at dirt tracks.

I would recommend spending a Friday night at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA for a regular weekly show. The only track in the country to host the three premier racing divisions every week. And the support division puts on an incredible show also!
