Here are 2 photos of Orange Show Speedway in 1963, the last year it was dirt. In the first photo the jalopies are racing out of turn-2 and heading down the back straight. In the second photo the super modifieds are racing down the front straight. Enjoy!

I am pretty sure that is my Dad driving the # 2 car the old Vallie Engeluaf/Jimmy Mayeda car as he bought it in 63 from Jimmy but it does not have the 32 grill & hood , it has a screen grill aluminum hood which my Dad built for the car when he got it

Aw yes, the days when your main parts supplier was the wrecking yard. And if you were touring the So. Cal circuit the location of a good wrecking yard was worth as much as knowing where to get a good hamburger.
