USAC Sprints and Midgets, Dirt Late Models on 2007 LVMS schedule
Las Vegas Motor Speedway officials have announced the addition of the USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series and Dirt Late Models to the March NASCAR Weekend schedule. The USAC/CRA Sprints and Western States Midgets will return to the LVMS dirt track in the fall. These events replace the World of Outlaws, which will not return to the speedway in 2007.
"We have had a wonderful experience with the World of Outlaws," said LVMS general manager Chris Powell. "We have had some outstanding races with some of the best dirt races in the world. But we are excited about the next phase of racing on our half-mile dirt track. USAC and Dirt Late Models have seen their popularity soar over the past few years, and we're confident our fans will love seeing a new brand of racing at our dirt facility."
The USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series and Dirt Late Models will compete on Thursday, March 8 and Friday, March 9. The USAC/CRA Sprints and Western States Midgets will return for an engagement in the fall with a date to be announced.
LVMS also announced the 10th Annual Duel in the Desert for IMCA Modifieds Nov. 15-17.
Ticket information for all events at the dirt track is available by calling the ticket office at 1-800-644-4444 or by logging on to www.lvms.com.
