the president---if thats what idiots still call him---- just suspended the jail sentence for Scooter Libby. So in Virginia you can get a 3,000$ traffic ticket........in Oklahoma you can serve 5 years in jail for 1 gram of marijuana (1st offense).....but outing a CIA agent? naw....thats no big deal. So the administration gets away with outing a CIA agent for her husband not contributing to their war machine. Talk about taking care of your own............
this country is a ass backwards ******* joke. And for some reason the rest of the world knows this.........but people here don't, or just don't care. What more can you expect from a society that teaches greatness is inherited.......not earned.
And now we celebrate a day of independence from a country that ironically is now our only REAL ally. And together these 2 countries go around raping other countries of their natural resources. While manipulating their own citizens into thinking that they have honor, integrity, and virtues.
I can understand where many may disagree with my thoughts.......but tell me, please, where I am wrong. Show me 1 good thing this country (or better yet its government) has done either foreign or domestic that was good. I mean actually good........not self-serving. The only people I see they have really helped that was not to their own political benefit was millions upon millions of poor mexicans. Left the door wide open for em. Can you blame em for illegally immigrating here? If the opportunity to come here and live a way better life is there why not take it? But ironically this has negatively affected the people the US government seem to care about least......american citizens. Here's an idea. Why don't we take away citizenship of all current citizens and give it to all the illegal citizens of this country. Hell they may do a lot better job.......they certainly can;t do any worse in decision making and voting than current american citizens already have. They really would in all likelihood do a better job. Because Juan is not worried about all the BS entertainment and reality show crap that seems to captivate and consume the time of most americans today. No.......Juan just worked a 16 hour day digging irrigation trenches and will go home and be content in the fact that he is putting food on the table for his family. He's not worried by most of the useless crap that most in this country are. Granted, all that useless crap in this bling-bling entertainment tonight society we live in appeals to him. I bet it certainly does. But for now....Juan is just happy doing what his best for his family. He's at the very basic core of things. And since Juan takes his families future in mind...not just now but generations down the road.....he most likely would not be moronic enough to vote in undeserving capitalistic oil men into high postions of power and influence. Juan doesn't know what it is like to be the 4th or 5th generation of a well-to-do family. And Juan isn't brainwashed by this country's media.....at least not yet.
So believe me when I say that right now Juan is very appreciative of this nations hypocrisy. The American people have more important issues to deal with than the security of their own borders. But yet feel so un-safe that they need to invade countries ( that ironically possess our most desired product--oil) and pass legislation (the Patriot Act) that are direct assaults on our Constitution. So tomorrow american citizens celebrate freedom. freedom that is lost more and more by the day. Considering Ben Franklin is one of the most celebrated heroes of the fight for this countries independence 231 years ago.......I think I will close this with a quote from him that I feel applies directly to you and yours and all americans.
"Those who are willing to give up liberties for temporary security.....deserve neither....and will lose both."
Munch on that. Now I will go make a lil money for me.....and a lot for some jackass who will spend all 5 days of the workweek playing golf. How pleasant.

Let me be the first to tell you what good this country has done on for me:
1. Provided the oppurtunity to be my own boss and to make a wonderful living
2. Provided me and my family a blanket of freedom and security
3. Provided me the oppurtunity to run for public office so that I can change what I don't like about legislation
4. Provided me the oppurtunity to exercise my freedom of speech, religion, the right to own a firearm (which I do not)
Certainly there are many things that could be improved, however in a free society not everyone can be happy 100 percent of the time. As far as Presidential pardons are concerned, check the history books, President Clinton pardoned 140 convicted felons and commuted the sentences of 36 more (sorry that's just politics). Politics aside, you need to remember that Washington iss a battlefield of ideas being fought by lawyers, both Democrars and Republicans, what I mean is that I am a finacial advisor and by typing this message I probably have broken an SEC regulation.
We all get frustrated with our leaders whichever party they belong to, the thing you need to remember is that without the United States being able to flex its muscle in either legislative or miltary power, socialism would certainly takeover and we would all be equal.
I don't want to be equal, I want the oppurtunity to live the life I choose, I can take it from there....
(Of course I am a Republican)

Like before he left office....yeah, I remember Clinton pardoned Patty Hearst, I mean "Tania".
And that scumbag Denise Rich paying for her husband to be exonerated was some BS as well.

What a friggin crybaby you are!
Remember, these laws, many of them at least were written in the 40 years the Democrats controlled the Congress of the United States.Remember Presidents do NOT make laws, they only break them (LOL)
It seems like you don't like the drug penalties, thus, that is where I suspect your problem lies.
IF you really want change, and it was OK the BS Bill pulled, get off your dead ass and go to the political meetings.
Join the party which represents your views (however lame they are), canvass the neighborhoods and deliver the materials for your cantidate, work the phone pools, go to the conventions, and not only vote, but help make sure others are voting as well.
It is easy to be a sorry assed crybaby and gripe about what someone did wrong.
Put your money, your time and your effort into the process of electing people to office.
Someone has told you how bad things are, The economy right now is at an alltime high, virtulally no unemployment, decent interest rates, good return on investments, tons of jobs.
I really wonder what your issues are, are you broke? did you overspend? are you mad at the jobs that have moved South?
You must remember the NAFTA issue was completed in the Clinton years.
Just the comments you have made in this forum would be enough to get you imprisioned in many countries, and death is some others.
Yes, America is not perfect, Bush is not perfect (far from it), but in America, you have the right to be wrong, and over 200 years of soldiers dying to maintain that right.
IF you were to shut off your TV, you would without a doubt have a better outlook on life.
The crybabies on CNN ect make their living having people who can not think for themselves rely on them for what ever propaganda they spew.

OKC.. Clinton 140... Bush113 and 4 commutes thus far so George is closing fast and will pass him by the time he leaves office LOL... This is not the first time there was a big stink about pardons it happens everytime a president is in his finial term exception being Ford who pardoned Nixon which probably cost him the election against Carter.. Is it right? I don't think so but you have to remember it's who you know, how much you or your friends donate to a party.. The old saying money talks and B.S. walks.. Will it ever change?? Probably not so long as the american people keep electing democrats and republicans into office..

I appreciate that 1st reply to my topic-starting post........and the way it was given. It was a very good and well put counter-point to my sentiments.
I was gonna post a lot more.....but saw it would just be another rant.......and remembered.......ya'll are sprint car fans.......so everyone here is alright to a certain degree.
rear-tire......half the post I just deleted related to that. you're dead on right there. those 2 parties are only interested in dividing.....not uniting.....this country. ironically both parties are quite effective at accomplishing that too.
