Commemorative pint glasses from this year's prestigious Louie Vermeil Classic Beer Garden will be on sale at Oval Nationals $5 each. Please come by Damion Gardner's trailor during or after the races each night to pick up your glasses. Proceeds will be applied to a hard luck award for the race weekend. Support the drivers that suffer a tough weekend.

When we attended the beer tasting in Calistoga, the guy who was running it said that the fairgrounds provided all the glasses. If the Calistoga fairgrounds bought the glasses, shouldn't the money be given back to the racers in Calistoga?

I am sure that you are referring to me as the guy who was running the beer tasting. The fairgrounds pays for the upfront expenses for the glasses and then is subsequently reimbursed the full amount. Therefore, any leftover glasses can and should be sold to benefit drivers at some non-wing sprint car event. Otherwise, glasses will get eaten by the organizers and then the leftovers benefit no driver. Moreover, we are only talking about approximately 20 glasses.
While your comment is understood, it may not be fully relevant under the given circumstances.
