All, If you plan to go to this May 4th WoO Sprint Car race at Knoxville Raceway please be aware that this is the BIG weekend for Tulip Time in nearby Pella, Iowa. This event draws many, many traveling visitors using most of the lodging in Marion County so if you require motel/hotel rooms you should consider making reservations as soon as possible. The tulips are normally beautiful so seeing them and the festival that weekend might be another reason to go there for a race/tulip double header.

Tulip time...reminds me of that great vocalist featured years ago on Johnny Carson.

"And now folks...here he is.....TINY TIM...singing his #1 song..."TIPTOE THROUGH THE TULIPS WITH ME!" Sorta brings a tear to my eyes! Wink

Ofcourse, we later on had to listen to his latest about "Miss Vicky!"

If you aren't old enough to know about this you missed some great stuff!

Could be a great way to bring in some more fans...Maybe they could offer $5 off a ticket if you bring a pulled tulip with you to the races.

I absolutely guarantee that if someone tries to pull up tulips in Pella, during Tulip Time, they will be using the $5 off deal that cubfan07 mentioned to help with their bail to get out of the Marion County jail in Knoxville & won't be attending Outlaws races at the track. Just sayin. LOL

Hmmm, Tulip Time and the WOO. Sounds like a great weekend to come home and see mom! Let's hope the tulips aren't two weeks early like this year!

Probably considered a felony in Pella..But hopefully it will bring some different fans to the area. Tulip Time is their version of Nationals. The parties just don't get as wild
