Season Championship Night To Feature Special Events
While Mother Nature had other plans for this past Saturday night’s racing program at the Jackson Speedway, the upcoming Season Championship races this coming Saturday, Sept. 1, will now be filled with Giveaways Galore! Nearly 190 bicycles will now be given away to children in attendance at this Saturday’s racing program for the annual Big Bike Giveaway promotion, and as an added bonus, hundreds more prizes for kids will also be given away – a veritable Christmas on Labor Day Weekend! And if that’s not enough, gate admission for all adults will be $3 on Saturday night, Sept. 1, through the generosity of several racing sponsors, as a way of saying “Thank You!” to the fans who support the weekly racing program at Jackson Speedway. The night’s racing program will feature the Season Point Championship races in all six classes of competition at the speedway. Current Points Leaders include Aaron Betz of Avoca, MN in the Sport Compacts and Cory Probst of Worthington, MN in the Hobby Stocks. Matthew Looft of Swea City, IA leads the Sport Modified points race and Bill Boles of Harris, IA leads the 305 Sprint points race. Luke Sathoff of Jackson sits atop the Stock Car points battle and Lakefield, Minnesota’s Skylar Prochaska leads the 360 Championship Sprint points race going into Saturday night’s races. Hot laps will get underway at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 1, with the racing action and giveaways to start at 7 p.m. Bring the kids and the rest of the family for an evening filled with racing action and giveaways galore! But if you need a racing fix at mid-week, the United States Modified Touring Series will roll down Interstate 90 for back-to-back nights of USMTS Modified racing. The USMTS Casey’s Challenge Modifieds will take to the high banks of Fairmont on Wednesday night, Aug. 29, and then make an appearance on Thursday night, Aug. 30, at the historic half mile in Jackson. As part of this blockbuster doubleheader, the Iron Man Challenge featuring USRA Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods will compete both nights with Stock Cars racing for $1,000 to win and B-Mods for $700 to win. Grandstand will open to the public at 5 p.m. both nights, with hot laps scheduled for 7p.m. and the racing to follow. For more information, go to www.JacksonSpeedway.com
