Wanted to say what a great night it was at Silver Dollar Speedway on Friday. There has been a lot of negativity recently so I had to make sure there was something positive put out about last night. All classes put on a good show and the winged feature was one of the best all season.

The track was excellent and gave us a reminder of how great Silver Dollar can be. It had some ruts scattered about in it and really made everyone get up on the wheel like we have always loved about the place.

I mainly wanted to mention this because I know how hard Dennis Gage, Troy Hennig and the Silver Dollar Speedway staff have worked. These guys truly are putting in a lot of effort to make this place the best it can be and I was extremely happy to see the final point race be such a home run.

This morning they are bringing in new clay and will be applying it over the next two days to try and give teams & fans the best possible surface for the Gold Cup Race of Champions. They are trying everything they can and I for one am thankful to see so much effort being put in.

Also wanted to give congratulations to Sean Becker for winning the Silver Dollar Speedway championship in a tie over Andy Forsberg.

The drama between Becker and Forsberg was epic last night and the "Shark" won the title based on having more wins this season. It's hard to find a better person in our sport than Sean Becker and I still think he's one of the most underrated drivers in the country. The car control he has is just a thing of beauty.

I'm really excited for the Gold Cup after last night. Hope to see everyone there. If it's anything like last night you won't want to miss it.

Good to hear Silver Dollar is getting back on track. Will be there for whole West Coast outlaw trip, can't wait.
