I seen the video and it was a great race. Now you have someone threatening the person who posted it on youtube with USAC and the FBI When they find out. When Kokomo always had an open camera policy. Then they ????????? wonder why the stands are empty. LMAO!!!!!!!

Yes I am a resident of Kokomo. As far as supporting the track I have. And have told numerous people and still do who have not went to the track or not at all since it has been redone about how great the racing is and IMO one of the hottest 1/4 mile tracks in the nation and I believe it is. I know it is. But then when you have those people come back and say how they tell them and kids they can't take a sandwich and coke in and how bad they were treated at the gate for the first time and they say they would not go back.....Well what can I say. These are not hard core fans but could be casual fans. First impressions goes a long ways. On top of that USAC has been going downhill for years and still are. From what I have read on the other board it seems they still are. Sorry but I am telling you what I do know. The Oconnors have done a superb job in bringing the racing to what I believe is the greatest 1/4 mile track in the country and it is not just because I live in Kokomo. Plain and simple it is.....Period. But they need to treat every fan as a first time fan and not be so mean them about a coke and sandwich. Especially kids. Something they could take from Bill Lipkey when he owned it and the stands were shoulder to shoulder all away around the track. How do I know? I was there. The place where the grain barn is. That use to be part of the parking lot and it packed with cars. It is a skeleton to what it use to be.

I wouldn't know about the track long ago, but I find the Kokomo of today as the best race track, from a racing standpoint, I have ever been to. It isn't by far the only track that doesn't allow stuff brought in. If we want a sandwich, we get a pass out and go to the car. Otherwise we buy from the concession stand.

Sitting in the new stands at Kokomo on the three corner,we took quite a bit of dirt on Thursday night but the excellent racing was worth it.Friday night the heavy track took longer to work into condition but we enjoyed watching these guys and they put on quite a show.In comparison,I would have to say that the dustier track produced the best competition and by Saturday night the track was almost perfect for a 40 lap feature that brought the cream rising to the top of the best that USAC has to offer.
