Just because the motors will not be running on August 25th doesn't mean you have to sit at home and arm-chair wrench or quarterback from the hoouse. In fact, we have the cure (at least in the Charlotte area)!

Join us at noon at the Quaker Steak & Lube in Concord, NC on Aug 25th for a Sprint Car social/get together. The folks there have set us up in the BIG ROOM! Plenty of good food, drinks and the airing of the Knoxville Nationals on their huge screen TV (and the rest for that matter too).

This is a great chance to get out and visit with each other in a comfortable environment to relax in for a while. I can vouch for the good drinks too!.

A big thanks to Brandon McLain for going the distance to get this set up and started as well as Quaker Steak & Lube for slotting us the space at their facility.

SO, we hope to see you this Saturday. If you have any questions or good stories, bring them along! More info on our website at www.carolinasprints.com.

Thanks to everyone that turned out. It was really amazing that so many turned out like this and not a car engine was fired. Special thanks to Darren Hasty for taking the time to bring his car out and set up for display and to Quaker Steak & Lube for letting a bunch of sprint car fans take over part of the place like we did! And Thanks Collette Troutman for the photo!

Pleased to see open wheel racing is alive and well in the home base for most NASCAR teams.

Bobby: Will give you a call around lunchtime today (Monday)

Badgerboy: Not only is it alive and well, it is gaining momentum and we are doing everything we can to make sure it is presented in such a way that does not offend the stock car community but at the same time, gives them the thrill that they have been missing. So far the response has been great!

Postman & Kendra: Will definnately get it posted for the next one. Saturday's was such a great success and really gave everyone a chance to visit socially and discuss issues that had been on their minds, clearing the air so to speak and keeping everyone focused.

Again, We want to thank Quaker Steak & Lube in Concord for putting up with us, Darren Hasty for taking the time to bring his car over for display, Brandon McLain for helping to organize this and to everyone that took time out of their weekend to come over and have a drink or two (or 4 in my case).

Keep watching us over at www.carolinasprints.com for upcoming details on shows and other fun stuff like this.
