AUSTRALIAN
STEVE TATTERSON PLANS AGGRESSIVE CALIFORNIA SCHEDULE
PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA
(August 16, 2012) - Australian Sprint Car driver Steve Tatterson has announced he will
team up with crew chief Rod Fauver in the #36AU Tatterson Motorsports entry for
an aggressive schedule across World of Outlaws, King of the West, and weekly
action over the next two months in California.
Tatterson
has accumulated limited experience over the last two years, racing a part-time
late-summer schedule for Fauver before returning to home in Australia.Tatterson hopes to establish himself with a
work visa to stay in the United States full-time starting with
the 2013 season.
The
former Mini Stock driver has ten years of racing experience under his belt in Australia.Last year he competed in nine events in the
states including the prestigious Gold Cup Race of Champions.Tatterson kicked off his 2012 tour at
Calistoga Speedway two weeks ago with the Civil War Sprints.
He
will run both nights of 410 action at Silver Dollar Speedway this weekend
including the Saturday King of the West date.He also plans to compete in the remaining Civil War rounds at Petaluma and Placerville, along with a return to
the Gold Cup and other World of Outlaws dates including Antioch Speedway and
Calistoga Speedway in early September.
"At
this stage due to my own personal funding of the whole team I am in the process
of trying to get a work visa to base in the states," Tatterson said."I am determined to make my home here
and compete against the world's best on a regular basis hopefully picking up
some valuable sponsorship along the way."
Tatterson
has enlisted the help of some major players in the Sprint Car industry
including attending the Jimmy Sills Racing school and having his car designed
by Kevin Sharrah Designs.

Growing up
in Australia, Tatterson dreamed of racing Sprint
Cars but started out his Sprint Car career by working on cars.Tatterson has split time between working on
the cars and working in the mines.He
also thanks his employer Kiewit Australia for allowing him the opportunity to
race in California and take time away from work.
