Does anyone have any info on the next tire company approaching the WRG with a governing body issued tire?

Only thing I heard was that Goodyear isn't going to "sponsor" the series and support the point fund but they are willing to be the tire supplier (same goes for Knoxville, they are no longer going to sponsor the Nationals).

IMO, I say they should stick with Goodyear (racing has been better than the years they ran the Hoosiers) if a spec tire is what the tracks / sanctioning body wants. Otherwise, go to an open tire rule with a minimum hardness and call it good.

I say more Hoosier tire failures in 3 nights of racing during the 360 Nationals than I did in 5 nights of racing on the Goodyears (Cappi Classic and the Nationals).
