Is their any truth to the rumor that Tony Stewart has bought or is going to buy World of Outlaws and is going to run the full World of Outlaws 2013 series and Matt Kenseth will be behind the wheel of the #14 Sprint Cup .....I find this hard to believe....but with STP as the new sponsor???? I guess anything is possible

Logic says are they kidding. Tony can make more money in 2 NASCAR races than he can in full season of WOO. Also what would other drivers think of him owning WOO and then taking home alot of prize money??

It sounds like a huge fallacy to me, but anything in today's world is possible.

Latest rumor I heard was that he was adding Knoxville and Daytona to his list of tracks in addition to his race teams as he continues to build his racing empire. wink

Seriously, I do think Tony is being smart to set himself up for life after he does give up the steering wheel in cup racing. He's no dummy and knows that it has become an age thing in most divisions where fearlessness is faster than experience.

Tony's too business savvy to ever buy WoO. If his goal was to own a sprint car touring series he could easily build one from scratch and sign all the exisiting WoO teams without having to deal with the existing debts and relationships the current owners have. He's too invested in NASCAR to ever make a ft driving committment to another series and I would imagine his primary focus is securing sponsorship for SHR.
More weight, more regulation, more similarity in the
cars.... that will ensure plenty of thrills for years
to come. Only the most average talent behind the
wheel will be needed with such awesome equipment on
the track!

I wouldn't mind if he bought USAC and fired everyone.

No no, Kasey Kahne has been in the 7 year process of buying Skagit Speedway. When Kasey does, pit fees will go away, and each class will get 10K to win a weekly show.

Good..Then there would be more than 50 people in the stands and I would think more then 11 360's and 7 410's..

Well with the news today concerning the cancellation Dirt Cup make up date, there's a lot of angry people and probably less cars/people the next couple weeks in the Pac NW.

Do not tell anyone and I repeat do not tell anyone. But Tony is in the works to start a new stock car series called the NDSRA. National Dirt Stockcar Racing Association. Can you imagine someone prepping a 2 or 2 1/2 mile dirt track.
