Everyones making a big deal about Larson winning . But to me the bigger story is Steve Kinser not making the A main . What happened to him?

Nothing really happened to him, just went out last to qualify which still wasn't terrible qualified 15th. In the heats the track was real narrow and spread out fast if you didn't make your move coming out of turn 2 you were screwed. He got blocked on the first lap and killed his momentum and the field just strung out. He was actually pretty good looking in his B-main just again started alittle too far back and the track still wasn't wide enough passed a few cars though. I hope he does well Friday and can keep his A-main streak alive I think last night they said its at like 35 years or around that? Wouldn't feel like a nationals A-main without Steve in it. I think he will come out fired up Friday and get the job done however.

Steve has made 34 consecutive main event starts. If he makes the show it'll then be 35.
Personally, I've never been a Kinser fan, any of them. But, it would not be a Knoxville Nationals Main Event without Steve.

The Friday format helps him. With a good run on Friday, he's in. As it was with the old format, he's be running Friday anyway and only could get to 11th in the C.

Luck or should I say bad luck of the Kville draw. Then a rain produced one lane heat race puts you in the C Main. Steve hasnt really been dominating at all this year. Only three wins and zero quick times in nearly sixty races. He has been consistant and finishing races to currently be second in points. Maybe getting older he is getting smarter.
