All,
Please mark your callendar and get your cars ready for the weekend of September 15th. There are two events on the docket.
1. On the 15th: Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore OK. Vintage racing car gathering with hot laps. This will be the second time at the track. We had a great time last year.
2. On the 16th: Racer's Reunion in Oklahoma City at the Pole Position
There are several affordable hotels in Ardmore if you want to spend the night before heading north for the reunion. That's my plan.

That's right, we're looking at being at SOS in Ardmore the 15th of Sept. (Saturday night).
More on the reunion when it comes in.
Looka here! I have found 3 hours of unseen film from the early 70's. It is converted to dvd now and am waiting to see it and figure out what tracks and years it has. The owner says it has En id, Lawton , Ada , Hutch, Tulsa etc. The years cover 1967 to 1976 .
I'm hoping to show some of it at the reunion.

Well Dan and Brian, if you don't mind a beat up old Red 37 Chevy Coupe that's starting to smoke a little when you hammer it (planing on building another engine this winter), I'll be there!!

There will be a nice new build in from Ada many of you haven't seen yet. a dozen cars is very easy to get if things go right.

The plan is to meet at SOS at 4pm. We will be the show between the dirt motorcycles and the enduro. It will be a great time. I am looking forward to seeing everyone.

It looks like there are 13-15 cars slated to show up at Ardmore. I cannot wait.

Looks like next year there could very well be several old hobby stocks as well. I have noticed a lot of chatter out here from those ranks.
Most are Tri-5 GM cars too!
We will have to work to keep our heads up, and keep positive, because there definitely is room to grow, and cars and people to go with it.
They really are out here for sure.

Tomorrow the Vintage Racing weekend starts. The weather looks like it will hold off. I cannot wait to see everyone. I think we have some exciting news that will break tomorrow.

Looks like the feed is still coming out of the gulf, but is rolling more toward the east. Still have a report of mist in DFW though.

Chilly with a drizzle here on friday evening. But TMS is still bringing cars onto the track 100 miles south of me. I will have a definite decision by 9 am Saturday morning.
Bring a jacket just in case this deal goes through , and it gets a little cold.
OKC is still on for the Racers Reunion however----Sunday at 3pm at Pole Position.
