We at Route 66 Motorplex in Victorville have been thanked many times since taking over the track managing. We have also had incredible amounts of help getting to this point. To all who have helped....THANK YOU!!!! There is however 1 guy who went above and beyond the call of duty when we were in a bind. His name is Don Flanders and he deserves a hearty THANK YOU! From everyone who loves open wheel short track racing. His sole motivation is to protect this sport we love. Thanks Don! Here's everyones chance to thank him here and I think you could do it on Aug.19 at the Freeway Series in person!! Thanks Don!!! Scotty

Don Flanders does as much to help preserve 410/360 sprint car racing and help increase car counts than anyone I know. And for the most part it is all behind the scenes. Bonus's for highest finishing 360's, Contingency money at various races, tire and parts $ given to various teams at every race, helping tracks like VV who need a jump start and especially helping to keep one team alive, when it looked like it was all over. If you do not know Don Flanders, search him out and get to know a true sprint car angel.

Yep, both shows... I've been around the CRA since I was a small boy in Torrance when they were running at Gardena Bruce, so I'll be over in spite of USAC. LOL

Agreed. Don has helped many of us that have little or no money to race with. Just look at the last race at perris. Cal Smith totals a car in qualifying. JJ Ercse has a part failure and the Springstead 36 totaled while leading heat 2 by 10 car lengths. You all know those guys will be back because they love racing. Everyone should thank Don for his help with sprint car racing especially with teams like Smith and Springstead. Still would like to know is there a little help for the highest finishing 360 at perris the 19th and victorville the 19th. Thank you for letting voice my opinion.

Likewise as above vis Don Flanders. He's a guy with a lot of interesting ideas, but he'll also put his money where his mouth is.

Just saw some of the pics posted on Facebook from Route 66 Motorplex. Looks like they are working on the track already. I think they are going to have a great race and I can't wait for the 19th to get here already!
RIP Chet and Mark. You might be gone but never will
be forgotten.
