Just got back yesterday from my first trip to Knoxville for the 360 Nationals. I was very impressed by the facility. Hands down it is much better than anything we have in Texas. The size and quality of the main grandstand, the lighting system, and the PA system were all top notch. We really enjoyed every minute of it. I had dreamed of going to Knoxville since I was a teenage kid and it did not disappoint in any way.
The only thing I'd change about the track is the location of the big video screen. I could barely see it from where I was sitting. I'm not sure who decided it should be in turn three because I'm sure the fans sitting at the end of the back straight are the only ones that can really see it. It would be nice to have it on the front straight where we could actually see it!

Glad you enjoyed your first visit to Knoxville. The video board was installed in the early 2000's I believe, its alittle outdated now technology wise the pixels just don't seem sharp enough. Its basically for people in the infield there are bleachers in turns 3-4. I'd say Knoxvilles next improvement should be a bigger brighter board. Maybe something similar to what Iowa State University just installed at Jack Trice Stadium it's sweet can't remember what it cost though but it was alot but worth it.

if it was on main straight it might block view to back straight. which you do not want to do. Glad you liked track and races.

Eldora's is nice. It is clearly visible even from turns 3 and 4 in the afternoon sun.

Good point. Maybe one on each end of the track? Or maybe I should just sit at the turn 4 end of the back straight stands. Either way, I think it's really cool that they have it. I can't wait for a return trip.
