TIGHT BATTLE FOR PAS SENIOR SPRINT CAR CHAMPIONSHIP!

(Perris, CA, July 26, 2012) When The PAS Senior Sprint Car Series hits the famous Perris Auto Speedway half-mile oval this Saturday night, July 28th, a mere 27-points will be all that is separating the top five drivers in the season long championship standings. In addition to the Senior Sprints, the
Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Cars and the California Lightning Sprint Cars will also be in action at "Southern California's Home to Major League Sprint Car Racing." Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM and the first race will be at 7:00.

Bill Badger, a 62-year-old from Santa Clarita who raced in the USRC Midget Series in the 1970s, is the defending champion and he took the 2012 point lead with a second place finish before a packed house on July 4th. Heading into Saturday's Senior race that will be capped by a 20-lap main event, Badger leads Ventura's Bruce Douglass by 9-points. Victor Davis, who also resides in Ventura and who won the July 4th main, is third in the standings and only trails Badger by 18-markers. Wiley Miller of Yorba Linda is fourth and only 24-points out of the top spot while Newport Beach gasser Brian Williams is fifth.

Main event victories in the first five races of the campaign have been split between three drivers. Davis' convincing win on July 4th was his first at The PAS in 2012. Douglass and Williams each have two wins, but they were both eliminated in the same crash early in the main on the 4th.

In addition to their 20-lap main event on Saturday, the Senior Sprints will also contest a heat race (s) on the Riverside County dirt track.

The PAS Senior Sprint Car Series is for drivers 45-years-old and older. All cars must have an aluminum block 360 engine. Besides that, other than
safety, there are no rules. Drivers can run any tire they wish and they do not have to worry about gasket or weight restrictions. It is old school "run what ya' brung'" racing. If you would like to compete or get more information on the series, please call: (951) 940-0134.

Look for some familiar names from the past to debut in The PAS Senior Sprints Series before the end of the 2012 season.

John Aden's "777 Chassis Company" is the official chassis of the PAS Senior Sprint Car Series. At the last race of the year, drivers who have made all of the 2012 series races or only missed one, will be eligible for
a drawing for a brand new 777 Chassis.

Davis and Douglass are partners in "Fast Under Car" a parts business, but the partnership ends on the track. Wiley Miller, uncle of Blake Miller, and Bill Badger will make the run for the senior crown a must see, so don't run out for a smoke when they come out to play.

BTW Douglass when he gets the mike is one of the most aeticulate, fast talking and exciting race callers around.

I was at the last Sr. Sprintcar race at the PAS and must say that these guys are as much fun to watch as the CRA 410's.

Slide job's, running the cush, passing and more passing, Davis came from 6th in both the heat and main last race, Hubcap Mike to the top, Douglass and Williams battling it out, Miller gassing it up, WHEW!

I know that they're not paid and do this all for a trophy and bragging rights and for that I am grateful.

Don and the folks at PAS have hit a homerun with the addition of this class in my opinion and with any luck this class will grow in the years to come. It would be great to see 2 heats and 15+ cars.

GREAT job fella's.
