Does everyone like the current format of twin 30 lap races, where the second feature is inverted or do you prefer the old way of just one higher paying race?

I prefer the original format and I am guessing most people will, let's see. Nice to see the Posse big 3 leave the porch, dang neutral ground caught them again tho'....
PS Don't tell me they still aren't the big 3 either, they are 1-3 in points at the Grove and Fred just won speedweek for the umpteenth time....

I dont understand how Dollansky was the champ with an 8.5 avg. finish. I looked and saw that 2 other drivers had a better avg. finish. Kemenah came from 15th to 7th in the first feature and from 14th to 6th in the second. That is a 6.5 avg finish in both features and he passed 16 cars in those features while Dollansky didnt pass a single car other than some lapped cars. It should be determined on avg.finish in both features. Period. It shouldnt matter if you won a feature or not. He even qualified better so i have no idea how they determine a champ. In my books Chad Kemenah was champ.

For some unknown/strange reason it is to be determined by the 2 Feature winners only which is another reason to scrap the format and run a single Feature like the good ol' days....

I believe the overall Silver Cup Champion and bonus are only determined between the two winners ( Dollansky and Smoke) and their averages between the two races, and not the entire field, but I could be wrong.

The press releases were vague on how to determine the overall champ. They seemed to indicate that the best average finish would determine the champion, but then clarified that the winner with the best average finish would be the champion.

Oh ok. That is a crazy format. They should give incentive for drivers to at least try too pass some cars and make it exciting for the PAYING fans. No wonder Steve pulled out of the second feature. Throw some points on that second feature and then you will see some real racin. I doubt that second feature had much action in it.

I've been to this race several times and really like the older format. The second feature seems to have a lot of breakdowns and DNF's for obvious reasons.
Go back to one big paying race would be my preference. it makes for a much shorter night on a Tuesday. Just my 2 cents worth...
It's scary that I agree a lot with MSPN....donut time Mikey!

I wonder why Kraig Kinser never took a Provisional? He missed out on 2 Features, even tho' only 1 was a pts. thing, right? Strange.....

You do realize that the D4 car of Holtgraver had an average finish of 6 (which is better than Kemenah's) finished 2nd and 10th (both times from 19th)

Holtgraver has the best average, Kemenah was 2nd, Madsen 3rd, and Dewease 4th...

Dewease, Pittman, Schuchart, and Hodnett all had a better average finish then Swindell, either Kinser , McMahan, Sweet, and Kaeding. Based on your statement, I assume those guys must just be terrible...
Too bad most (if not all) of the WoO drivers are skipping Lincoln Thursday night. With that performance they dished out back in May, I figured they'd be here to snatch up that easy money...

It's a little misleading there to use "better average finish" given the Posse guys kind of went nowhere in A Main 1 and therefore had good starting spots for A Main 2. But oh well.
Here are the results from A Main 1 that was based on the normal qualifying procedures:
A-Main - (30 Laps)
- 1. 7-Craig Dollansky [1] [$10,000]; 2. D4-Danny Holtgraver [19]
[$5,000]; 3. 83X-Tim Shaffer [3] [$3,000]; 4. 11-Steve Kinser [10]
[$2,700]; 5. 89G-David Gravel [12] [$2,500]; 6. 29-Kerry Madsen [9]
[$2,500]; 7. 63-Chad Kemenah [15] [$2,000]; 8. 27-Daryn Pittman [13]
[$1,800]; 9. 6-Bill Rose [16] [$1,600]; 10. 19-Stevie Smith [7]
[$1,450]; 11. 1-Sammy Swindell [8] [$1,300]; 12. 30C-Lance Dewease [18]
[$1,200]; 13. 1S-Logan Schuchart [23] [$1,100]; 14. 9-Joey Saldana [6]
[$1,000]; 15. 13-Paul McMahan [22] [$950]; 16. 20E-Brian Ellenberger
[25] [$200]; 17. 7S-Jason Sides [4] [$850]; 18. 15-Donny Schatz [2]
[$750]; 19. 14-Tony Stewart [14] [$725]; 20. 39-Greg Hodnett [17]
[$700]; 21. 4-Cody Darrah [11] [$700]; 22. 83-Tim Kaeding [21] [$700];
23. 49-Brad Sweet [5] [$700]; 24. 59-Jac Haudenschild [24] [$700]; 25.
2L-Ed Lynch Jr. [20] [$700].
Surprised none of the Lincoln regulars showed up last night, after that world beating performance in May.

Even though Holtgraver's charge through the field was awesome to watch, double features in a midweek show does make for a late night. I would actually like to see a return to one feature. When Don Martin announced in 1991 that this race would be held for 1992's 25th anniversary of Lernerville, the race paid $25,000 to win, and the winner's purse was to go up $1,000 each year the event was held. Sadly, somewhere along the line, this went by the wayside as well....
When in doubt, gas it!!

Agreed with the purse comment. While they still paid around $100k out and that makes it a big event still, they for some reason cut the purse from last year when I think it paid $15k to win both features. Crowd looked huge, so not sure why the purse cutting.
