One of the reasons that AZ speedway has a full, or close to it house when the sprints run is because the people who were out there racing Motorcycles, mud bogging and what ever else they were doing out there came out to see what the track, and those Sprint cars were all about. There were a lot of first timer's with their family's last year. They liked what they saw, and they've kept coming back.
How many facilities within lets say a 75 mile radius of Perris has some kind of dirt type show, and have they been targeted and given some kind of incentive to come see what you have to offer at Perris? If the answer is no, why not?
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

There's no question that it's more expensive for both the fans and the 410's who run with USAC at Perris than it is for a 360 and the fans most anywhere else Randy, but unless new fans are aquired. Well you can finish that sentence, but we need to put more butts in the seats, and if a "incentive" is needed along with a little inovation to get them there; well like they say at the begginning of a big UFC fight "Iiiiiiit's TIME!"

Hey Kenny! You make some great points in your comments about AZ Speedway. I've been there twice and have been so impressed by everything there. They are so fan friendly from their admission & food prices to their employees. I can't wait to take my hubby there. In fact, we are hoping to move to AZ once he's graduated from college next year. I miss having more than one track here locally for me. I loved Victorville and can't wait to see what Scotty Burns does with the facility. Perris is the top track when it comes to races and the sound system. It just sucks that it's so expensive to just walk in the front gate.
Being a diehard sprint car fan, I always try to bring new people to every race I go to. It's easy to get people to a race in AZ either at Canyon or AZ Speedway because the cost is comparable to other choices of entertainment. I feel for the Kazarians as they are doing their best but it is a business and they have to make money at least to keep the track open and make somewhat of a living from it.
You all have made great points about this subject. But for me, I would rather make the trip across the desert to see a race in AZ because the racing there reminds me of the "good ole days" of racing. At both tracks, the drivers, crews, officials and employees are all nice, polite and friendly. It's so much fun. I know everyone must think I'm cuckoo for cocoa puffs, but hey, it's what I really like and in AZ is where most of my favorite sprint car drivers race.
For me it's not about 410s vs 360s. For me it's all about the good times I've had and continue to have every time I go over there. In fact, I'm leaving tomorrow morning for Sat's race. With how hot it's going to be I wonder if any of the racers will be doing the water slides? That would be fun to watch, LOL. There's an incentive to go to the track; the kids and I'm sure some adults have a way to cool off while waiting for the racing to start. Plus, it will make kids pester their parents into going, which will get butts in the seats and possibly new sprint car fans. I think that's a great and fun idea that Kevin had. I can't wait to see it.
I hope y'all have a great weekend. I'll cya @ Canyon if y'all are going. I'm hoping to make Santa Maria next weekend. You AZ people will be freezing there, LOL. Have some fun this weekend and try to stay nice and cool.
RIP Chet and Mark. You might be gone but never will
be forgotten.

Hi June, my big point was that AS already had a fan base of people who raced other types of stuff there, but once they saw the Sprinters run, and many for the first time, they came back for more. Point being that maybe if a way found through some type of incentive to get people from other types of racing. mudd bogging or whatever out to Perris, they'd come back for more at the full price of admission.

So you'll have the dancing girls around for my entertainment Thursday, while you're off to work?
And how about your pool, is it ready yet?
