I know there are some crazy bits of knowledge out there about Jac Haudenschild. Courage, Bravado, Selflessness on the track. I want them all...Thanx!

I like Jac. Jac has ALOT of history and has had a great career too...... it's just a shame to see him in the biggest, underfunded, bucket of sh!t he's been in since he was a kid.

Not what I was getting at. CentralPaPosse. In equal equipment, the likes of Sammy or 90 percent of a Sprint car field, (Particularly Sammy) couldn't equate with Jac. I want storied history though.

best time i ever had with Jac was when my biddy and I went to Jac's house to buy the 98 Kings Royal car. We took it off the wall cracked open some beers and put the car back together. Jac is a great guy. Always on the loud pedal. You can always tell when his group goes green in hot laps as soon as the light turns green he is on it. No one else does that.

Details are a little fuzzy, I think it was chronicled in Open Wheel magazine. When driving for Bob Weikert, on a whim, he decided to drop to the rear of the A-main, just to see if he could win it starting from the tail of the field. I don't recall him winning the race, I also don't recall him lasting to long with Weikert.

as far as i know jac is still the only driver to win the front row challenge by taking the challenge and going to the back. then racing his way back to the front.

to indy and beyond!!

Jac won the first FRC and is the last. These brave souls won't even try it anymore. One of my favorites, and I don't recall all the particulars, is when he was in a race and they went under caution. He continued to race but it was clear he wasn't the same. He continued under a half a dozen laps or so under green to finish and when he pulled in his crew asked him what was wrong. He responded that he had hurt his arm. He had gotten hit with an errant wheel cover right before the caution and went back and finished the race under green flag racing. When they cut away his suit they found out he had a compound fracture on his forearm. The man is tough.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

The number of, "DID YOU SEE THAT?" , type moves over the years have been too many to count. The ones I love the most have been around the top when the other guy thought HE was running the high line. Gets thru 1 and 2 at Eldora like nobody else. The guy is also a joy to watch without the wing. Big tracks, bullrings, don't matter, smooth when he has to be but he can still flip the wild thing switch when need be. Class act out of the car too. Don't know the guy or his family personally but I wish them well. He and I are about the same age and he's one of the reasons I fell in love with the sport 30some yrs ago. I'm obviously a fan. Be great to see him finish out his career in a top flight ride.

The most awsome race in history....Syracuse 1992.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

One night in the late '80's at Baylands Raceway Park Jac gave us his usual assortment of thrills for the win. After the race, in the pits, this "Tall Hot Blond" wanted Jac's autograph. She was wearing TIGHT cut-off jeans. She put her right foot up on Jac's rear nerf and told him to sign just above the seam on the inside of her right thigh. As Jac started writing - - - - heading toward the crotch area - - - - and she said, "How LONG is your name, anyway?" He finished, "just in time." Her response was, "I'll never wash them!"

I talked with Jac last year and asked him if he remembered that one and you can bet he did!
