California Sprint Car & Midget Power Poll for June 5, 2012
ELK GROVE, CALIFORNIA (June 5, 2012) - The latest edition of the California
Sprint & Midget Power Poll had one of the closest battles for the
top spot yet. Bud Kaeding used a second place Ocean Sprints run on
Friday night and a win in Saturday's King of the West at Hanford to
maintain the top spot over his brother Tim Kaeding.
Since our last poll,
TK picked up a victory at Calistoga with King of the West and also
finished third at Hanford. TK and Bud joined USAC/CRA points leader
Mike Spencer as the three drivers that each earned at least one first
place vote from our media voting panel.
Steven Tiner (6th),
Andy Forsberg (7th), and Kyle Hirst (10th) are all making their poll
debuts while Nic Faas reappears in the top-ten.
Notably slipping in
the poll are Kyle Larson and Ryan Bernal who suffered from "out of
sight, out of mind" by not racing in California this weekend. Sean
Becker, fresh off a BCRA Midget win at Placerville, surprisingly fell two
spots while also leading the Silver Dollar 410 points.
