You might want to watch it again, and again, and again. For some reason you aren't getting this at all. The camera angle you see on tv is from the opposite end of the track. So all the cars will seem to be closer together than they really are. A camera shooting from the infied would be more accurate.
Yes Sammy made the contact and didn't have Cody cleared to take the position. No argument there. At the time of contact it was Cody's left front tire and Sammy's right rear correct ? Sammy would have to be at the least 75% ahead of Cody. At that point neither were right on Lynch jr.'s bumper. So even common sense tells you Cody was even farther behind than Sammy was to thelead car.
So how can someone be on the rear bumper when there is a second car in front of them ? Cody had to be more like two car lengths behind the leader for this to happen. If Cody was even close to the back of Lynch jr.'s bumper then Cody and Sammy would have been side by side.
Even Cody's crew saw it that way and they were there.

I agree. It's pathetic.

Speaking of pathetic...Calling someone from a private number because of what they posted on this forum is pathetic...
Next time, pick up a phone with a caller ID before you dial 443-324-3366...
Opinions may vary...

That way, when the phone call turns against you and you hang up, I can call you back...
Opinions may vary...

This is a dead topic, but i saw it back on the front page so I have to throw in my $.02, as for Brad Doty I don't see how anyone in their right mind could say a negative word about the man.So what if he did'nt automtically go on a Sammy bashing fit. Really that has burned my ass since this all happened. He was'nt born to be an announcer but has been the best one to have ever come along, he's a racer. On top of that he is an incredible human being, having overcome things in his life that would make most curl up and disappear. Anyhow I remember in an old issue of Open Wheel where he was quoted as saying " I'll never be the race car driver Jan Opperman was, but if I can be half the human being he was I'll consider myself a success." Or something to that effect. Mr. Doty- I was too young to know Opp, but in my eyes there's just not too many like you left in the world and it's been a pleasure to have kept up with you over the years, thanks for all you do.
