Fans are sure getting their fill of crappy surfaces at WoO races...put a fork in it when Kinser and Sammy retire, no way will people pay these ticket prices for a half baked product. Let me guess...they ran ten laps per hot lap session like they did at Lincoln last week!
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

Sounds even worse than the typical WoO big track follow the leader show we have all become accustomed to.

The track last night was a joke . it was a dust bowl in warm ups . Come on 21 cars blowing tires . It looked like they did little if any track prep last night . I've been going to Middletown off and on for 40 years and have never seen it this bad . It will be a very long time before I'll return . I'll go to PA to see sprints much better racing . I feel as I was ripped off last night and should get my $35 back . Shame on your Orange county or who ever Is to blame .

Sprint car racing does not need to be like NASCAR! In a twenty five or thirty lap race, drivers should not have to worry about saving their tires. It's not like they are running two hundred laps. If tracks are prepared properly, and tire companies bring a sufficientt tire, races will be as they should.

Well it looks like that's not happening doesn't it? Everybody get's the same track condition and everybody get's the same tires so i guess it's up to the teams to find a way to finish races? Goodyear get's paid the same if the tire lasts 1 lap or 50 just like every other tire manufacturer and the promoters are not handing money back to fans as they leave? Stop going to outlaw shows if your not happy with the racing! The consumer always has the power in the end!

same thing at chico this year, horrible but again the woo took over the control of the track, they wanted dry slick, they got it.

another poster above mentioned run what ya' brung for tires with which i agree. if they were able to get that accomplished in the first place the "use our tires" deal and the perks that go with it would disappear. so, flip a coin???

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...

DIRT or whatever they call themselves this week (WRG) has all but ruined Big Blocks mod`s in New York and are trying their best to mess the small blocks up too, then this insanity they have done with the sprint cars (WoO) for the last 8-10 years. I will never again attend another WoO race for the low low price of 35-40 bucks with the track conditions, follow the leader and the 15 410`s and 8-10 360`s crap. These people dont know jack about the sport......they do know how to screw the fan over for sure.

I find it somewhat amusing that the Outlaws go to a place that proudly calls itself "the Hard Clay" and the surface was hard and slick and not up to the usual high-quality standards that the Outlaws are known for. LOL. I have probably seen at least 100 races at OCFS over the past 30 years. It is always hard and slick and dusty and one-lane. Anyone that thought it was going to suddenly be different last night must not have any familiarity with the place.

IIRC, the last time an attempt was even made to really try and dig up the surface at Orange County was 1982-83. That was the year upstate New York guys like Gary Iulg and C.D. Coville started out the year running OCFS, but the plan was abandoned after the track kept coming up rough and tearing up equipment week after week.

Always hear b1tching and moaning about track conditions. The question I have is how long has the WoO/WRG been sending an advance crew to prep the tracks they are racing at that week/weekend???

They don't, but they do dictate how they want the racing surface. If it's wet they run an ungodly number of hot laps to dry it out. Prime example was thursday night when they ran Lincoln. They ran a minimum of 8 hot laps and 10 at the most.Where on a regular night they only run 3 to 4. It made the track 3 seconds slower than it is on a normal Saturday night. This week Putney had the track back at the 13 seconds bracket.

Excellent track conditions tonight at Hagerstown. Dollansky dominated the whole night, but it was a really good A Main with lots of guys coming up from bad starting spots.

Funny how I was chastized for wanting 40 lap features here awhile back & the bullshit can't even do a 25 lap lap race green to checker. Sprint race my ass, Sprint to see who has the 1st blow out ?? No wonder I've been doing what every 1 else has been saying & supporting the local scene.

I think ALL sprint car features should be at least 40 laps! 25 laps is not giving me my monies worth! Drivers need to quit blaming the tires and do a better job with tire management. Look at pavement sprinters that run over 50 laps on a set of tires and they don't blow out thier tires all the time.

Sounds about exactly like what happened at the Kings Royal a few years back when Hoosier was the mandated tire. Funny how things work both ways and how quickly people forget.

And exactly how many Hoosiers were blown? Can't rely on Good Year at all!

Double hot lap sessions @ Hagerstown and they still didn't put a dent in the joint... wink

I was going to buy a belt sander, putting that on hold, someone brought me a bucket of Orange county hard clay,so I saved on the sander I just rub the boards with the famous hard clay ,that stuff will take the paint off marble steps, but the millions of little black specs mixed in,must have been after the feature, those specks are the "Goodyears".

I think that the WRG considers hot laps as the best part of the show (-:
